A Markdown Box, Two Images, Three Categories. Free to List.
Written by Submitator, which submits customers to Tools AI Online. Everything below was read from its site on 29 September 2026.
Fifteen categories, an AI news section and more than 6,600 listings: Tools AI Online is an AI tools directory that adds about twelve tools a day. It calls itself "Your Complete AI Tools Directory for 2026", and submitting is free.
The whole submission is one page with no account: a name, a URL, a description in Markdown, up to three categories and five tags, a pricing label, an email and a 16:9 cover, plus an optional icon. The description needs at least 500 characters, a rule the form prints only after it refuses a shorter text.
Every listing page read that day linked to its tool with a followed Visit Site button: 300 pages out of 300. We submit customers here, write the description to clear that floor and trim each image to the size the form wants.
| Input | The rule |
|---|---|
| Tool Name | Required, at least 3 characters |
| Website URL | Required, starting with http:// or https:// |
| Tool Description | Required, Markdown, at least 500 characters |
| Categories | Required, 1 to 3 of 15 |
| Tags | Required, 1 to 5 |
| Pricing | Required, one label |
| Contact Email | Required, gets the review notice |
| Tool Icon | Optional, 512 × 512 recommended, JPG, PNG or SVG up to 2 MB |
| Featured Image | Required, 1280 × 720 or 16:9 recommended, JPG or PNG up to 5 MB |
The description counter reads "Characters: 0" with no minimum beside it, yet a short text is turned back with "Description must be at least 500 characters". And the cover, the one image that is required, accepts JPG and PNG only, while the icon next to it takes SVG. Neither rule is shown before you press Submit; both stop a submission.

Sources, all read on 29 September 2026 without submitting or paying for anything: the tools-ai.online home page, /submit-tool and the script behind it, /feature-your-tool, /contact-us, /about, /terms, robots.txt, the sitemap, the public listings API and 300 listing pages at /tool/<slug>. Form labels and notes are quoted as served, with the ornamental apostrophes of the success screen set as plain ones; the validation messages, including "Description must be at least 500 characters", and the accepted file types (icon .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .svg up to 2 MB; screenshot .jpeg, .jpg, .png up to 5 MB) are read from the form's script. The 300 pages are the 30 newest listings and a fixed stride through the rest of the 6,671 in their sitemap; every one links to its tool from a Visit Site button with no rel attribute and ?ref=tools-ai.online appended, 300 anchors in all. Links written into descriptions add 35 more on 26 pages, also without rel, and none goes through a redirector. Listing pages carry meta robots "index, follow", and every page on the site, listings included, names the home page as its canonical. Pace comes from the listing dates in their API: 1,105 added from 1 July to 28 September 2026, about 12 a day, and 5,268 of the 5,493 listings added since March 2025 are stamped 14:00 or 15:00 UTC. Featured prices are quoted from /feature-your-tool, each beside a struck-through figure, with "Get Started" leading to the contact form. The review notice is quoted from the form's success screen. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker, which returned 19. Submitator's founder states that we submit customers to Tools AI Online, write a unique description for each directory and cut images to each site's format, and that the customer gives us their email and we enter it. Starter is $29 for 30 directories, Growth $49 for 60 and Scale $79 for 100, each paid once and chosen in the dashboard; a rejected submission is credited back as another directory to choose, and refunds follow the 30-day conditions in our terms.
One page, and a description with a floor
The page opens with "Share your innovative AI tools with our community" and then asks for everything at once. The description box is the one that takes the time. Its placeholder asks you to "Describe your tool’s purpose, features, and benefits...". The box supports Markdown (bold, italics, links, code and lists) and will not accept fewer than 500 characters, which is roughly eighty to a hundred words.
A link inside the description is followed just like the Visit Site button, so one link to your pricing or docs page is worth including.
Three categories, five tags, one price label
Categories and tags are both required and both capped: up to three of fifteen categories, from Image and Video to Productivity and Marketing & SEO, and up to five tags from their own list. The pricing field is a single label: Free, Freemium, Paid, Open Source, GitHub, Google Colab or Other.
Productivity is the largest category on the site by a distance, so a narrower one that genuinely fits often puts a tool among fewer neighbours.
A 16:9 cover and an optional square icon
The required image is labelled "Featured Image / Website Screenshot", recommended at "1280x720px or 16:9 ratio (Max: 5MB)". Save it as a JPG or PNG; an SVG or WebP cover will not upload. The icon is square at 512 × 512 and takes JPG, PNG or SVG up to 2 MB. Leave it out and the submission still goes through; add it if you have a square logo.
The listing page and its link
Each listing is a page with your description, your images and a Visit Site button that points straight at your address with ?ref=tools-ai.online added and no rel attribute, which makes it a followed link. That held on every one of the 300 listings opened on 29 September 2026, from the newest back to ones listed in 2023.
The notice comes by email, in their words: "We'll review your tool and notify you via email once it's published." New tools go live at the same hour each day, about twelve at a time over the last three months.
$5 a month to feature, or $20 a year
Featured is the one paid option they list, and it is priced low: $5 for one month, $10 for three and $20 for twelve, each shown beside a higher price struck through. All three include "Highlighted in search results" and "Priority placement in category". There is no checkout: Get Started leads to their contact form.
We fill the Markdown box and size the images
Tools AI Online is on our list, and the work on this form is writing and image sizes. Every directory in your plan gets its own description from us, and the one written for this box clears the 500-character floor. Images get cut per site as well; here that means a 16:9 cover saved as a JPG or PNG under 5 MB.
The contact email is yours, entered by us, so their review notice lands in your inbox. The submission is filed alongside the rest of your plan, thirty directories from $29.
Tools AI Online review: the short answer
Worth submitting. It is free, it takes one page with no account and the Visit Site button was followed on all 300 listings we opened, in a catalog that grows by about twelve tools a day. Featured from $5 is optional. The two rules to watch are the 500-character description and a cover that must be JPG or PNG, and we handle both when we file it.
How to submit to Tools AI Online, step by step
- 1
Give the name and a clean URL
At least three characters for the name, and a full address starting with https://. Paste it without a leading space or stray slashes, because the listing links to what you type, with their ref tag added.
- 2
Write at least 500 characters
Say what the tool does and for whom, the features that matter and the price. Markdown works for bold, lists and a link or two, and those links are published as ordinary links.
- 3
Pick up to three categories and five tags
The narrowest category that honestly fits beats the biggest one. Tags come from their own list, up to five.
- 4
Choose the pricing label that matches your model
Free, Freemium, Paid, Open Source, GitHub, Google Colab or Other. Only one label goes on, so pick the one closest to how you charge.
- 5
Save the cover as a 16:9 JPG or PNG under 5 MB
1280 by 720 is their recommendation. SVG and WebP will not upload for the cover, even though the icon field accepts SVG.
- 6
Add a square icon if you have one
512 by 512 in JPG, PNG or SVG, up to 2 MB. It is optional, and a square logo is all it needs.
- 7
Hand the whole page to Submitator
We write the description past the 500-character floor, cut your images to their sizes and put your email in the contact field. It goes in as one directory of your plan.
Their $5 buys one featured month. Our $29 buys thirty directories.
One payment, thirty directories picked in the dashboard with the Domain Rating on each card, a unique description for each one, screenshots cut to every site's format and a rejection credited back as another directory.
Free to list, $5 to feature. $29 files thirty.
Tools AI Online takes an AI tool on one free page: a Markdown description of at least 500 characters, up to three categories and five tags, a pricing label, an email and a 16:9 cover in JPG or PNG. A followed link sat on every one of the 300 listing pages read that day. From $29, we fill the description box, size the images and type in your email. The whole catalog.
FAQ
Is Tools AI Online free?
Yes. The submit page has no price and no account step: you fill one form, pass an invisible reCAPTCHA and send it. Featured, sold separately, is the only priced option they publish.
What does Featured cost on Tools AI Online?
$5 for one month, $10 for three and $20 for twelve, each shown next to a higher price struck through. Featured buys a highlighted spot in search results and priority placement in your category, and it is ordered through their contact form rather than a checkout.
Does Tools AI Online give a followed link?
Yes, on all 300 listings we opened on 29 September 2026: each page links to the tool with a Visit Site button that carries no rel attribute at all, straight to your address with ?ref=tools-ai.online added. Links written into the description came through the same way.
Is there a minimum length for the description on Tools AI Online?
At least 500 characters. The form shows a character counter but not the minimum; the rule is in its validation, which answers a short description with “Description must be at least 500 characters”. The form sets no upper limit, and the box accepts Markdown.
What image formats will Tools AI Online take?
The required cover, labelled Featured Image / Website Screenshot, takes JPG or PNG up to 5 MB, recommended at 1280 × 720 or 16:9. The optional icon takes JPG, PNG or SVG up to 2 MB, recommended at 512 × 512. The cover will not take SVG or WebP, and the form does not say so.
How soon is a tool published on Tools AI Online?
After review, with an email when it is up: “We'll review your tool and notify you via email once it's published.” New listings go live at the same hour each day, about twelve a day over the last three months.
What is Tools AI Online's Domain Rating?
19. That is Ahrefs' Domain Rating for tools-ai.online, read through our checker on 29 September 2026.
Does Submitator submit to Tools AI Online?
It is on our list. We write the description for their box to clear the 500-character floor and fit your images to their limits. The contact field gets your own email, so their review notice reaches you. Thirty directories cost $29 on Starter.
