Launching Next Lists You Free. Your Headline Goes in the Page Title.
Submitator files customers to Launching Next on its free route, so this guide comes from people who fill in that form. Every quote and listing count below comes from launchingnext.com, read on 23 October 2026.
Launching Next has been publishing new startups since 2013, and its home page puts the total at 45,669. Ahrefs rates the domain 55, per our checker on 23 October 2026. Listing there costs nothing: one public form at launchingnext.com/submit/, no account and nothing to put on your own site.
The only paid line on that page is about speed: "Submitting to Launching Next is free, but if you want your startup to be considered for publication within 1-business day, we offer a $99 upgrade on the next page." The listing is free either way; the $99 buys a faster review.
Free is the route we file customers on. Of everything the form asks, one answer shapes how your listing reads in search: the five to eight word headline. It sits under your name, fills the second half of the page's title tag and is the whole of its meta description.

| Field | Limit | Where it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Startup Name | 100 characters | Your page heading and the first half of its title tag |
| Startup URL | 100 characters, starts as https:// | The Visit Website button, linked exactly as typed |
| Your headline | “5-8 words about your startup”, 100 characters | Subtitle, title tag, meta description and every card |
| Full startup description | 2,500 characters | The About section, on full listings |
| Tags | 5 to 10, separated by commas, 500 characters | Links to tag pages such as “open source startups” |
| Which best describes your submission | Side project, bootstrapped, investor funded or none | Not on the listing |
| Marketing spend, next 90 days | Five bands, $0 to more than $15,000 | Not on the listing |
| Your Name, Your Email Address | 100 characters each | Not published; the email gets the publication notice |
| Newsletter box | Ticked by default | Their weekly Friday briefing |
| Quick Check | What is 2+3? | A sum to prove you are human |

"Submitting to Launching Next is free, but if you want your startup to be considered for publication within 1-business day, we offer a $99 upgrade on the next page." We take the free route for customers and write the headline, the description and the tags for this form, so Launching Next can be one of the 30 directories your $29 covers.

Read from launchingnext.com with GET requests alone on 23 October 2026: the home page, /submit/ and its form markup, /promote/, /advertise/, /llm-info.html, robots.txt, the open source tag page and the home feed at offsets 1, 22, 41, 61, 101, 301, 1001, 3001 and 10001 (/sitemap.xml returns 404 and the feed page at offset 21 answered with a bot check). Field labels, limits and options come from the live form's markup (maxlength 100 on the name, address, headline, your name and your email; 500 on tags; a script that trims the description at 2,500 characters) and match two screenshots of the blank form taken by Submitator's founder that day. The listing census covers 187 pages: 83 recent listings from the first four feed pages, published 25 September to 23 October 2026; and 104 older ones from the deeper pages, published 9 October 2023 to 21 September 2026 (a 105th answered with a bot check and is left out). Each page holds exactly one link to the listed product, the Visit Website button, pointing directly at the submitted address with no redirect; the only other external links are Launching Next's own Twitter and Facebook profiles. That button carries no rel attribute on 26 pages and rel="nofollow" on 161, and sponsored and ugc appear on none. The 26 are all among the 31 recent pages with an About section and were all published from 4 October on; the other 5 recent About pages, published 2 October or earlier, and the 8 older ones carry nofollow, as do all 148 pages without an About section. A Wayback Machine capture of one of those 5 taken on 4 October already shows nofollow, and a capture of a followed page from 7 October shows it followed, each as it reads now. Four pages fetched as Googlebot returned the same rel. No page carries a robots meta tag, an X-Robots-Tag header or a canonical link. The title tag is the name and the headline joined by a colon on 186 pages (the other has an empty headline) and the meta and og descriptions equal the headline on all 187; 58 headlines run past eight words. 157 pages print their tags as links to /startups/ pages and 30 print "No popular tags". 152 pages show a screenshot hosted under /images/ss/ (the six fetched measure 1,200 by 960, and the one opened is a capture of the submitted address) and 35 a placeholder image. robots.txt asks AhrefsBot to wait 500 seconds between requests. Their pages price the fast route three ways: a $99 upgrade on /submit/, $49 express approval on /advertise/ (linked from none of the pages read, and still saying the free queue "typically takes 3 months") and "Express Approval (Starting at $149 One-time)" on /llm-info.html. Promoted Listings on /promote/ cost $500, $1,500 and $4,500 a month and each card lists a "DR 51 Dofollow Backlink". The 45,669 count is printed on their home page, and 2013 is the start year their /promote/ FAQ and /llm-info.html give ("Founded: 2013"). Ahrefs puts launchingnext.com at Domain Rating 55, the figure submitator.com/domain-rating-checker returned on 23 October 2026; Launching Next's own pages print DR 51. No listing was filed for this write-up and no payment was made. Our founder states (23 October 2026) that we submit customers to Launching Next on its free route, and that we write each directory's description to that directory's own limits. Plans are one-time payments: $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60 and $79 for 100. Most directories are delivered in 24 to 48 hours, every directory within 21 days at most, a rejection adds one more directory to your selection and a refund can be requested within 30 days of purchase, on the conditions in our terms.
Your headline is most of your search result
Launching Next builds the top of every listing from two answers. The heading is your Startup Name and the line under it is Your headline. The title tag joins the two with a colon, and the meta description and the share description are the headline on its own. That holds on 186 of the 187 listing pages read on 23 October 2026; the other one was submitted with an empty headline.
So treat it as the snippet it is and name the task and the buyer in the five to eight words the form asks for. The box takes 100 characters, and 58 of those 187 headlines run past eight words. With your name and a colon in front of it, a headline that keeps to eight words leaves a title short enough to show in full on a results page.
The same line follows your listing around the site. It is the text on your card in the home page's Newest Startups, in the Recent startups row under other listings and on every tag page you join.
What a listing carries
The listing page is compact: your name and headline, the date it went up, a green Visit Website button, one image and your tags. Full listings add an About section with your description and a Show More link to unfold it. The form has no logo field and no upload. On 152 of the 187 pages read the image is a screenshot of the listed site, saved on launchingnext.com and labelled with the product's name, and on the other 35 it is a placeholder.
Since that screenshot is the only picture of your product on the page, make sure the address you submit looks right at first glance, with nothing covering the top of it. All 187 listing pages read are open to indexing, with no robots meta tag and no noindex header.
Tags put your card on more pages
The tags box asks for five to ten, separated by commas. On the listing each tag becomes a link to a topic page titled with the tag and the word startups, so "open source" leads to a page that read "Launching Next has discovered 182 open source startups." Your card appears there with the same headline.
157 of the 187 listing pages print their tags that way. The other 30 print "No popular tags" where the links would be, so the plain words buyers browse by are the safer choice. Their own examples set the register: AI, virtual reality, ios, photos, music, mockups and personal finance.
Which listings carry a followed link
A listing has a single link to your product, the green button, and it goes directly to the address you typed: no redirect and no tracking parameter of theirs. Two listings carry utm_source=launchingnext, added by their makers to the Startup URL, which is how to label Launching Next visits in your own analytics.
Whether that link is followed depends on the listing. Of the 83 most recent listings on 23 October 2026, published from 25 September on, 26 carry the button with no rel attribute, so it is followed, and 57 carry rel="nofollow". All 26 followed listings are full ones, with the About section and its description. Since 4 October the split is clean: the 26 full listings published from that date are all followed and the 21 without an About section are all nofollow. Before that date, all 140 listings read, going back to October 2023, are nofollow, the 13 full ones among them included.
No listing says why it is full or bare, and the submit page says nothing about the link. The paid side does: each of the three Promoted Listings cards, from $500 a month, lists a "DR 51 Dofollow Backlink". So count on what the free listing reliably is: a page open to indexing on a DR 55 domain, titled with your name and headline. Then write the description and tags as if they will be printed in full, because on all 26 followed listings they are.
The form, field by field
Startup Name is your heading and the start of your title tag, so use the name people search for. Startup URL already holds https://, so paste your address after it without repeating the scheme. The button links exactly what you type, query string included, and the screenshot is of that page. Both boxes stop at 100 characters.
Full startup description takes 2,500 characters, and the box trims anything past that as you type. On a full listing it is the whole About section, so say in plain sentences what problem it solves, whom it serves, how someone gets started and what they pay. Tags come next, then two multiple-choice questions: whether this is a side project, a bootstrapped startup or an investor funded one, and how much you plan to spend on marketing over the next 90 days. Neither answer appears on any listing page read.
About You asks for your name and email, under the note "These details won't be published, but we'll notify you if your project is published." The newsletter box below them comes ticked, so untick it unless you want their Friday briefing. The Quick Check asks what 2+3 is.
After you press Submit Startup
The page after the form is where the $99 upgrade is offered. Beyond that, the submit page promises two things: "We review submissions every day, and you'll receive an email if we publish your startup." It gives the free route no timeline. A review within one business day is what the $99 is for.
Their pages price that fast route three ways: $99 on the submit page, $49 on an older page still served at /advertise/ and "Starting at $149 One-time" in the information page they publish for AI assistants. The submit page is the one in the flow. When the email arrives, open the listing, press Visit Website and check that it lands where you meant.
What we write for you

Your plan is one payment, 30 directories for $29, chosen by you with each Domain Rating on display. A rejected submission is credited back as one more directory of your choice.

FAQ
How do I submit to Launching Next?
Open launchingnext.com/submit/ and fill in one form, with no account: Startup Name, Startup URL, a headline of 5-8 words, a description of up to 2,500 characters, 5 to 10 tags separated by commas and two multiple-choice questions, then your name, your email and a quick sum. Press Submit Startup. Their page says “We review submissions every day, and you'll receive an email if we publish your startup.”
Is Launching Next free?
Yes. Their submit page: “Submitting to Launching Next is free, but if you want your startup to be considered for publication within 1-business day, we offer a $99 upgrade on the next page.” Nothing is asked of your own site either: no badge and no link back.
What does the $99 Launching Next upgrade buy?
Consideration for publication within one business day, offered on the page after the form. Their other pages price that fast route differently. The information page they publish for AI assistants lists “Express Approval (Starting at $149 One-time)” and promises “Full refund if the submission is not accepted.” An older page still served at /advertise/ says $49. The $99 is the price on the submit page itself.
Is the Launching Next link dofollow?
On some listings. Each listing has one Visit Website button that links your address directly. On 23 October 2026, 26 of the 83 most recent listings carried it followed and 57 carried rel="nofollow". All 26 followed ones are full listings with an About section; among those published since 4 October, all 26 full listings are followed and all 21 without an About section are nofollow. The 104 older listings read, back to October 2023, are all nofollow. Their Promoted Listings, from $500 a month, sell a “DR 51 Dofollow Backlink”.
What is Launching Next's Domain Rating?
Ahrefs rates launchingnext.com 55, as read through our Domain Rating checker on 23 October 2026. Launching Next prints DR 51 on its Promoted Listings page and in the information page it publishes for AI assistants.
What does a Launching Next listing show?
Your name as the heading, your headline under it, the date it was published, a Visit Website button, one image and your tags as links to tag pages. The image is a screenshot of the site on 152 of the 187 listing pages read on 23 October 2026 and a placeholder on the rest. Full listings add an About section with your description. The page title is your name and headline joined by a colon, and the headline alone is the meta description.
How long does Launching Next take to publish a startup?
The submit page gives the free route no timeline. It says “We review submissions every day, and you'll receive an email if we publish your startup.” Consideration within one business day is what the $99 upgrade sells, so on the free route the email is your signal.
What tags should I use on Launching Next?
Five to ten, separated by commas, in a box that takes 500 characters. A tag links your listing to a page such as “open source startups”, which read “Launching Next has discovered 182 open source startups.” on 23 October 2026. Common words are the safer choice: 30 of 187 listing pages print “No popular tags” where the links would be, and their own examples are AI, virtual reality, ios, photos, music, mockups and personal finance.
Does Launching Next publish my marketing budget?
No. The budget question and the side project, bootstrapped or investor funded question both sit in the About the Startup half of the form, and neither answer appears on any of the 187 listing pages read on 23 October 2026. Your name and email stay private too, in their words: “These details won't be published, but we'll notify you if your project is published.”
Does Submitator submit to Launching Next?
Yes, on the free route. We write the headline, the description and the tags for this form and fill in the rest, so Launching Next costs nothing beyond your plan. Plans are one-time: 30 directories for $29, 60 for $49 or 100 for $79.
