Shipybara Alternative

The Shipybara Alternative That Does Its Own Submitting

Submitator is a Shipybara alternative that runs the submissions itself and lets you choose every directory. Shipybara is a weekly Monday launch board that also sells a "Directory Submission Service" at $99 for 30 directories, $149 for 60 and $199 for 100+. Under those three tiers its own pricing page carries a line worth reading before you compare anything else: "Service provided by", followed by a link to LaunchDirectories.com.

That disclosure is to their credit, and the prices match LaunchDirectories' own list prices to the dollar, so nobody is marking anything up. It does mean the thing you're buying is described in someone else's terms, and those terms are blunt about what you get to decide. Submitator is $29 to $79 one-time for 30 to 100 directories, $0.79 to $0.97 each against their $1.99 to $3.30, with every directory's DR on screen as you build your own list. Here's the honest Shipybara review, both halves of it.

Shipybara (shipybara.com/pricing, July 2026): 'Directory Submission Service' sold as '30 Directories' $99, '60 Directories' $149 and '100+ Directories' $199 struck from $249, over one shared list headed 'All plans include:' whose first item is 'Manual submission to directories'; the credit line under the tiers reads 'Service provided by' plus a link to LaunchDirectories.com, and the checkout product record behind the top tier is named 'Shipybara: seo: 90 directories'. Its FAQ says 'Directory submissions are typically completed within 5-7 business days after purchase.'; LaunchDirectories' own FAQ says 'The submission process typically takes 4-6 business days.' On the pricing page, the homepage and both legal documents we found no refund wording for this service, and Shipybara's Terms of Service contain no occurrence of the word refund and state no governing law, jurisdiction or legal entity; Dodo Payments is the merchant of record. LaunchDirectories publishes all of those, prices the same three tiers at the same $99, $149 and $199, and its Terms say 'No Client Selection: You cannot choose specific directories, request particular directories to be included or excluded, or influence our directory selection process'. Separately, Shipybara's own launch tiers are free, $18 Premium and a $69 SEO Package; on a random sample of 120 of the 1,089 project pages in its sitemap, 89 outbound product links carried rel=noopener nofollow and 31 carried rel=noopener. Per its pages when last checked (July 2026). Submitator: $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60, $79 for 100, one-time; you pick each one in the dashboard with its DR shown; badges installed and kept live; dofollow focus; a 24–48h batch; a live link per completed listing; rejections credited back as +1 directory; 30-day money-back.

Shipybara pricing: $1.99 to $3.30 a directory

The three rungs are $99 for 30, $149 for 60 and $199 for 100+, which is $3.30, $2.48 and $1.99 per directory. Submitator sells the same three counts at $29, $49 and $79, so about 97 cents, about 82 cents and 79 cents each: roughly 3.4, 3.0 and 2.5 times less at every rung, and their entry package is $20 more than our largest plan. Only the top tier carries a struck-through price, $249, and we found no copy of any Shipybara or LaunchDirectories pricing page, live or archived, where $249 was the amount being charged. One small mismatch worth knowing before you click: the tier reads "100+ Directories" on the card, while the checkout product it opens is named "Shipybara: seo: 90 directories".

The service is LaunchDirectories, and the page says so

Credit first, because it's unusual: Shipybara names its provider on the same page where it takes your money, and charges LaunchDirectories' own list price rather than a marked-up one. The consequence is that LaunchDirectories' terms describe the work Shipybara is reselling, and they leave nothing to interpretation. Directory selection, in their words, is "made entirely at our discretion", on criteria they list, including domain rating, traffic and relevance. Then comes a clause of its own: "No Client Selection: You cannot choose specific directories, request particular directories to be included or excluded, or influence our directory selection process". Product Hunt is out by policy too, stated just as plainly: "We intentionally skip high-impact platforms like Product Hunt, as these launches deserve your personal touch."

Submitator's directory picker: every startup directory listed by name with its Domain Rating, and a checkbox next to each one
A discretion clause decides their list. A checkbox decides yours.

Five to seven days here, four to six there

The two sites don't agree on how long the job takes. Shipybara's FAQ says submissions are "typically completed within 5-7 business days after purchase"; the company doing the work says "The submission process typically takes 4-6 business days." Small gap, but it tells you the reseller isn't quoting from the same sheet. The archived copies show a little drift in the other direction as well. In November 2025 the credit line read "Service provided by our partner"; by the February 2026 copy and on the live page in July 2026, the words "our partner" are gone. That same November block sold the service under two bullets, "Permanent Results" and "These listings work forever - customers find you months later", and neither survives on the current page.

A free dofollow, described two different ways

Shipybara's own board is worth a look, because it's where the SEO Package's promised "High authority backlink" lands. The free launch tier lists "Dofollow backlink (Top 3 or badge)", and the FAQ repeats it as a choice: a free launch gets the link "if they finish in the top 3 or receive a badge". The about page describes the same thing as one condition stacked on another: "The top 3 launches each week receive exclusive badges and a high-authority dofollow backlink. The dofollow backlink is granted when you embed the badge with a dofollow link to the Shipybara website on your landing page." Read the card and it's either-or; read the about page and you finish in the top three and then link back. Either way $18 Premium buys past it with a "Guaranteed dofollow backlink". We sampled 120 of the 1,089 project pages in their sitemap in July 2026 and read the rel attribute on each outbound product link: 89 were rel="noopener nofollow" and 31 were rel="noopener". Roughly three in four of the listings we looked at were nofollowed. Free and premium listings render identically, so we couldn't tell which of them were paid. Their attributes, their call and they can change them whenever they like.

A badge decides their links. Nobody else's badge gets a mention.

That last section is the interesting part, because on Shipybara a badge doesn't just decorate a listing: on the about page's reading it's the switch that turns the free dofollow on. So the mechanic is thoroughly understood here. Now open the Directory Submission block and look for it. Every occurrence of the word badge on that page sits in Shipybara's own footer row or its own launch tiers, and not one falls inside the service block or either of its two FAQ answers. The deliverable named there is "Complete report provided". That silence costs you the strongest free listings on the market, because Startup Fame (DR 83), Fazier (DR 81) and Turbo0 (DR 79) each want their badge on your site before the free listing goes live. Submitator installs one badge component once, keeps every directory's badge live and offers an invisible option, on every plan including the $29 one.

No refund for this one, and no company on the paperwork

Shipybara's Terms of Service contain no occurrence of the word refund, and the only refund sentence we found on the site is pointed at a different product: "We do not offer refunds for the SEO Growth Package. Once purchased, the service is considered final and non-refundable.", after which the same answer offers to work closely with you throughout. For the $99 to $199 submissions there was nothing on the pricing page, the homepage or either legal document when we checked in July 2026. Those same Terms name no legal entity, no governing law and no jurisdiction, and checkout runs through Dodo Payments as merchant of record, so the only identified company on the receipt is the payment processor. The contrast that matters isn't with us, it's with their own provider: LaunchDirectories publishes a trading name, a street address in Poznań, a VAT number, Polish governing law and a complaints route, and its no-refund-once-started position is a lawful EU carve-out you tick a checkbox to accept before paying. Our 30 days is a commercial promise we chose to make on top of whatever statutory rights you already have. Both of those are honest positions. The page taking your money has neither.

The company you pay is the company that submits.

One badge component covers every directory that asks for one, the batch lands inside two days, each finished listing turns into a live link and rejections come back as another directory.

When Shipybara might fit

To be fair: the board itself is real, at DR 52 by FrogDR's reading in July 2026, with 1,089 project pages in its sitemap and a launch every Monday. Naming your provider on your own pricing page is a genuinely honest move that most resellers skip, and charging that provider's list price rather than a markup is another. LaunchDirectories is a serious operator: fully identified, manual submission and a report that hands back live links, screenshots and the login credentials for every account it creates, which is more than most services at that price publish. If you want a Monday launch slot and a hands-off directory run in the same place, and you genuinely don't care which directories you land on, buying both from one checkout is a reasonable convenience. The best alternative to Shipybara's submission service is the one that hands you the list instead: Submitator is the better fit when you want to name the directories, want the badge-gated ones opened rather than unmentioned and want the company you paid to be the company doing the work.

FAQ

Is Submitator a good Shipybara alternative?

Yes, and the reason is unusual. Shipybara sells the submissions but doesn't perform them: a line under its three tiers reads 'Service provided by' and links to LaunchDirectories.com. So you're buying $99, $149 or $199 of another company's work, and its entry package costs $20 more than our largest plan. Submitator runs its own submissions with real browser automation that handles CAPTCHAs and email verification, and you build the list yourself in the dashboard from 100+ named directories with each one's DR beside it. Delivery is a 24 to 48 hour batch, every completed listing shows up as a live link, a rejection is credited back as another directory and the refund window is 30 days.

How much does Shipybara's directory submission cost?

Per its pricing page in July 2026: $99 for '30 Directories', $149 for '60 Directories' and $199 for '100+ Directories', the last one shown struck through from $249. That works out to $3.30, $2.48 and $1.99 per directory. Submitator runs $0.79 to $0.97 per directory at the same three counts, so Shipybara's rungs are about 3.4, 3.0 and 2.5 times ours, and its cheapest package is $20 more than our largest plan. Its separate launch products are priced apart from this: a free Monday launch, an $18 Premium launch and a $69 SEO Package.

Who actually does Shipybara's directory submissions?

Shipybara says so on the pricing page itself, in a line under the three tiers: 'Service provided by' followed by a link reading 'LaunchDirectories.com'. The prices match LaunchDirectories' own list prices exactly, so there's no markup, and the disclosure is to Shipybara's credit. It also means LaunchDirectories' terms describe the work you're buying, and those terms say 'No Client Selection: You cannot choose specific directories, request particular directories to be included or excluded, or influence our directory selection process'. The two sites also quote different turnarounds: Shipybara's FAQ says 5-7 business days, LaunchDirectories' own FAQ says 4-6 business days.

Are Shipybara listings dofollow?

It depends which listing, and the site describes the rule two ways. On the pricing page the free launch offers a 'Dofollow backlink (Top 3 or badge)', which reads as either-or, while the about page says 'The top 3 launches each week receive exclusive badges and a high-authority dofollow backlink. The dofollow backlink is granted when you embed the badge with a dofollow link to the Shipybara website on your landing page.' The $18 Premium tier promises a 'Guaranteed dofollow backlink' regardless. We took a random sample of 120 of the 1,089 project pages in its sitemap in July 2026 and read the rel attribute on each outbound product link: 89 carried rel='noopener nofollow' and 31 carried rel='noopener'. Those are their attributes and they can change them at any time.

Does Shipybara handle the badges directories require?

Not that we could find. Every occurrence of the word badge on the pricing page belongs to Shipybara's own footer row or its own launch tiers, and none falls inside the Directory Submission block or either of its two FAQ answers. Across roughly thirty Shipybara URLs and 39 JavaScript bundles we fetched in July 2026 we found nothing about the badges destination directories ask you to display, and the word appears in neither legal document. Submitator installs one badge component once and keeps every directory's badge live, with an invisible option, which is what opens badge-gated listings like Startup Fame (DR 83), Fazier (DR 81) and Turbo0 (DR 79) on every plan we sell.

Does Shipybara offer a refund on directory submissions?

We found no refund statement of any kind for the $99 to $199 Directory Submission Service, on the pricing page, the homepage or either legal document. The only refund sentence anywhere on the site is scoped to a different product: 'We do not offer refunds for the SEO Growth Package. Once purchased, the service is considered final and non-refundable.', after which the same answer offers to work closely with you throughout the process. Shipybara's Terms of Service contain no occurrence of the word refund, and no governing law, jurisdiction or legal entity either. LaunchDirectories, which performs the work, publishes all of that. Its refund position is a lawful EU carve-out you tick a box to accept before paying. Submitator's refund is 30 days, stated on the pricing page.
