How to Submit Your AI Tool to BAI.tools, and Get the Free Listing Right
BAI.tools is an easy listing to earn. The entire submission is two fields, a tool name and a URL, and the directory writes the listing page itself: introduction, categories, a Visit Website button and a Product Information section with a features list. Ahrefs rates the domain 47 and the free plan keeps the listing for life.
One thing to plan around, and it is the reason to file early rather than a reason to skip it. The free queue is published as "at least 1 month (up to 6 months)", while the paid plans go live within 24 hours. The listing is permanent either way, so the sooner it is in, the sooner it starts working.
There is no description box here. Whoever writes the listing reads the address you give them, so point it at the page that explains the product best, usually your homepage rather than a pricing page or an app subdomain. Make sure that page states plainly what the tool does, who it is for and what the main features are, because those are the sections that end up on your listing.

Per bai.tools, its robots.txt and sitemap, the /submit-ai-tools and /pricing pages, the refund policy, all 40 category pages and a census of tool pages, read on 20 August 2026. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker, which returned 47; the pricing page advertises the domain as DR 52. No second provider was queried. Nothing was submitted and no payment was made; the two form fields and the three plan cards are described from the live page and from screenshots of it. robots.txt allows everything except /api/. The sitemap declares only 16 URLs, the homepage under each of its 16 language paths, with a lastmod of 17 May 2024 and no tool pages in it; the hreflang set carries a seventeenth entry, x-default, which repeats the English root. Tool pages themselves carry no hreflang, but /zh/tools/ and /de/tools/ both answer 200 for the same listing, so the catalog was enumerated from the 40 category pages linked on the homepage instead: those yield 1,038 distinct /tools/ slugs, against the homepage's own claim of 1000+, and none of the 40 exposes pagination. Link markup was read from raw HTML. The 40 category pages carry 1,551 external tool anchors to 1,022 distinct hosts, of which 1,504 are marked nofollow and 47 dofollow across 19 distinct hosts. Tool pages were sampled rather than crawled in full because the origin returns HTTP 429 under sustained requests: 15 alphabetically-first slugs and a further 40 drawn at random, 55 in total, every one of which carries a rel of dofollow on the tool's own outbound link, with 39 of the random 40 marked nofollow on their category card. Tool pages carry no robots meta and are their own canonical. Plan names, prices, the lifetime and turnaround wording and the Do-follow backlinks line are quoted from the plan cards; the seven-day refund wording from the refund policy, which is dated 13 May 2024. Submitator submits here on the free plan as part of its catalog: $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60 and $79 for 100, one-time, chosen by you in the dashboard with DR shown, badges installed and kept live, a live link per completed listing, rejections credited back as +1 directory and a 30-day refund policy on the conditions in our terms.
How to submit to BAI.tools, step by step
- 1
Open the submission page
The form lives at bai.tools/submit-ai-tools and the header links it as +Submit AI. There is no sign-up in front of it, so you can go straight to the two fields.
- 2
Give the tool name you want printed
The first field asks "What's the name of your AI Tools?" and whatever you type is what appears as the listing heading and in the breadcrumb. Use the product name as you write it everywhere else rather than a keyword-stuffed version, because it becomes the page title on a domain that is already indexed.
- 3
Give the URL that best explains the product
The second field asks for your website URL and it is the only description you get to supply. They generate the introduction and the feature list from it, so send them the page that makes the strongest case: for most tools that is the homepage. If your homepage is a login screen or a waitlist, point at the page that actually describes the product.
- 4
Pick Free unless the date matters
Free Listing gives a lifetime listing with the queue as its only cost. Standard at $19.9 and Pro at $29.9 buy a 24 hour turnaround, a homepage feature for 7 or 30 days and top placement in your category for the same period. If you are launching on a fixed date, that is what the money is for. If you are not, free gets you the same permanent page.
- 5
Press submit and let it mature
The button reads Submit your AI Tool. On the free plan their card says the listing goes live in at least a month and up to six, so treat it as filed rather than pending: a listing that arrives in month three is still a listing that stays.
What the link looks like
Two surfaces and two treatments. On every one of the 55 tool pages we checked, the link out to your site carries a rel of dofollow. That token is not part of the rel standard and does nothing by itself, so what actually leaves the link followed is that nothing marks it nofollow. The category pages are the other case: of the 1,551 tool links across all 40 of them, 1,504 carry nofollow and 47 do not, and in a random sample of 40 tools, 39 were nofollow on their category card while unmarked on their own page. Their paid plans list a Do-follow backlinks line, which is the difference showing up in the shop window.
What your listing page gets
A good deal for two fields. A published listing opens with a breadcrumb from the homepage through the category to the tool, then the name, a one line introduction, the category tags and two ways out to your site. Below that sits a Product Information block with a What is it explainer and a Core Features list, written from the address you submitted.
The page is its own URL under /tools/ and is its own canonical, and the same listing answers under each of the site's 16 language paths, so it exists at /zh/tools/ and /de/tools/ as well. For a submission that cost two fields, that is a lot of page.
The catalog it joins
Real and about the size it claims. The homepage advertises "1000+ AI Tools" and a crawl of all 40 category pages turns up 1,038 distinct tool pages, so a new listing joins a working directory rather than an empty shell. The categories are the ordinary AI ones, from AI Assistant and Chat Bot through Developer Tools, Art Generation and Data Analysis.
A queue is an argument for filing early.
A listing that takes a month to appear and then stays forever is exactly the kind you want submitted now rather than on the day you remember it. We file it, and twenty-nine others, on one pass.
BAI.tools review: is a listing worth it?
Yes, and it is an easy yes on the free plan. A DR 47 domain, a permanent page written for you off two fields, a real catalog of over a thousand tools and no account to create. The only thing you are spending is the wait, and the wait costs you nothing if the listing is filed early.
Pay when the calendar matters. If a launch is dated and you want the homepage feature and the 24 hour turnaround, $19.9 or $29.9 buys exactly that, one time, with a published 7 day refund window. Otherwise the free plan lands you on the same domain with the same permanent page.
Two fields. They write the rest.
A name and a URL is the whole form, and BAI.tools builds the listing page from it on a DR 47 domain. Free keeps it for life and their card puts the queue at a month or more; $19.9 and $29.9 buy a 24 hour turnaround and a homepage feature. Send the URL that explains the product best. The whole catalog.
FAQ
Is BAI.tools free to submit to?
Yes, and the free tier is a permanent listing rather than a trial. Their Free Listing plan reads "Submit without backlink for free!" and carries two promises: "Lifetime listing" and "Listing live in at least 1 month (up to 6 months)". So the cost of free is the wait, not the listing, which is a good reason to get it filed early.
What does the BAI.tools submission form ask for?
Two fields. AI Tool Name, prompted as "What's the name of your AI Tools?", and your website URL, prompted as "Enter the URL to your website." Then you pick a plan and press Submit your AI Tool. There is no description box, no logo upload, no category picker and no account step, which is why this one takes so little to file.
Who writes the BAI.tools listing page?
They do, from the URL you give them. A published listing carries a breadcrumb, the tool name, an introduction, its categories, a Visit Website button and a Product Information section that runs to a What is it explainer and a Core Features list. You supply two fields and get a full page, which is why the URL you submit matters more here than on forms that ask you to write the copy yourself.
How long does a free BAI.tools listing take to go live?
Their own free plan card puts it at "Listing live in at least 1 month (up to 6 months)", against "Listing live within 24 hours" on both paid plans. That is the honest trade: the free listing is permanent once it lands, so the queue is a scheduling problem rather than a quality one. Submit it now and it matures while you work on other things.
Does a BAI.tools listing link to your site?
Yes, and on its own page the link is not marked nofollow. Across the 55 tool pages we checked, the link out to your site carries rel="dofollow", which is not a value the rel standard defines and does nothing on its own; what leaves the link followed is simply that nothing marks it nofollow. The category pages behave differently: of the 1,551 tool links across all 40 of them, 1,504 carry nofollow. In a random sample of 40 tools, 39 were marked nofollow on their category card and unmarked on their own page.
What do the paid BAI.tools plans add?
Speed and placement. Pro Listing at $29.9 and Standard Listing at $19.9 both promise "Listing live within 24 hours" and a homepage feature, for 30 days and 7 days respectively, plus a spell in the top spots of your category page and a "Do-follow backlinks" line. Both are one-time payments rather than subscriptions, and their refund policy offers "a 7-day refund period for all purchases".
How big is the BAI.tools directory?
About what it says on the homepage. It advertises "1000+ AI Tools" and a crawl of all 40 category pages turns up 1,038 distinct tool pages, so the claim checks out. The site also runs in 16 language paths and serves the same listing under each of them, so a listing at /tools/your-tool also answers at /zh/tools/your-tool and /de/tools/your-tool.
Does Submitator submit to BAI.tools?
Yes, on the free tier, which is the one worth automating. The form is two fields, the listing is permanent and the only real cost is a queue measured in months, so the sooner it is filed the sooner it matures. One payment, not a subscription: $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60 and $79 for 100, with every DR shown before you choose. A rejection comes back as +1 directory, and there is a 30-day refund policy on the conditions in our terms.
