Thirty-Five Characters and a Square Logo. Viberank Writes the Rest.

Written by Submitator, and Viberank is one of the sites we list customers on. Its numbers below were taken on 25 September 2026.

Viberank is a community leaderboard for apps, with three boards, "This Week", "This Month" and "All Time", and it calls itself a Product Hunt alternative. It held 7,090 apps on 25 September 2026 and took 222 of them in the previous seven days; Ahrefs rates it 50 on our checker.

Listing is free and the form is short: a name, a tagline of 35 characters, a URL, one of seven categories, a square logo, one or two tags and an optional demo video. There is no description field. The long About on your app page is written by the site from your own website.

Each app page links out once, from the Visit Website button, and all 450 pages read that day carried a followed link. No badge is required, and the listing goes live when you press Submit.

You never see a box for it on the form. Your homepage copy is, in effect, your Viberank listing.

Per viberank.dev, its home page, /about, /terms, /privacy, /rewards, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, the submit and sponsorship panels and the site's scripts, and 450 app pages at /apps/<name>, all read with GET requests on 25 September 2026; nothing was submitted, voted on, played or paid for. The 450 pages are every app added in the seven days to 25 September (222), a stride through the sitemap (160), the apps on the home page lists (67) and one further sponsored app. Each page has one link to the listed product, the Visit Website button, with rel="noopener noreferrer" on all 450, no nofollow, ugc or sponsored value and no redirect, the same for sponsored and unsponsored apps and in every creation month the sample covers, August 2025 to September 2026; five pages requested as Googlebot returned the same link. 446 of the 450 carry an About section, which is also the meta description of the rendered page; the median length was about 1,700 characters in the weekly group and about 1,870 in the sitemap group, and the owner of a listing can edit it up to 1,500 characters. Form rules are the form's own: the tagline stops at 35 characters, tags at 20 each and two in all, the logo accepts JPG, PNG or GIF up to 2 MB and the demo video MP4 or WebM up to 100 MB; duplicate names and URLs are refused with "An app with this name already exists. Please choose a different name." and "This URL has already been submitted. Please use a different URL for your app.", and the weekly cap reads "You have reached your limit of 5 app submissions per week." The form inserts the listing with no pending state; the review sentence is from /rewards. Sign-in offers email, Google and GitHub. Sponsorship is $4.99 a week through Stripe, with the benefits quoted from the sponsorship panel and "You'll keep access until the end of your billing period." on cancelling. The board counts are the home page's own totals that day: 7,090 in all, 222 in seven days and 1,013 in thirty. The ranking game, the NEW label and the vote rules are read from the site's scripts; the median app added that week had one upvote. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker, which returned 50. Submitator's founder states that we submit customers to Viberank, write a unique description for each directory and cut images to each site's format. Starter is $29 for 30 directories, Growth $49 for 60 and Scale $79 for 100, each paid once and chosen in the dashboard; a rejected submission is credited back as another directory to choose, and refunds follow the 30-day conditions in our terms.

Thirty-five characters, then the site writes the rest

The tagline is the only sentence you type, and it stops at 35 characters. That is about five words, so it has to name the job the app does rather than describe it: "Invoices for freelancers" fits, a mission statement does not.

Everything longer comes from your site. After you submit, the app page fills an About section with a summary of your website, and the same text becomes the page's meta description. So before you submit, read your own homepage as if a stranger were summarising it, because one is. If the result is off, the listing owner can rewrite it later, up to 1,500 characters.

A name and a URL, each once

Viberank keeps one listing per name and one per URL. Try a name that is taken and you get "An app with this name already exists. Please choose a different name." The app page's address is built from the name, so choose the one you mean to keep. Each account can add five apps a week, which only matters if you ship a lot.

How the week board moves

The week board is a rolling seven days, not a calendar week, and a new listing whose name runs to 15 characters or fewer carries a NEW label for its first 24 hours. Upvotes and downvotes on the boards need a login and count once per account per app, and each board shows how far an app moved since the last update, green for up and red for down.

There is also a small game: first-time desktop visitors are offered three quick rounds of "Which app is better?", and each pick counts as an upvote for the chosen app. It is one of the few places a listing collects votes from people who were not looking for it. For scale, the median app added in the week to 25 September had one upvote.

The $4.99 week

Sponsorship is the only paid placement Viberank sells, and it is cheap: $4.99 a week through Stripe, available once your app is listed. Their panel lists a weekly SEO article, a "10x Visibility Boost" with a gold badge, a security audit and "100 Targeted Outreach Emails / month". A sponsored app wears an amber SPONSOR label and gets a row in the Monthly Sponsors table on the rewards page. With a launch planned, it costs little to try; you keep it to the end of the week you paid for if you cancel.

The tagline and the logo, done for you

We submit customers to Viberank, and the two things this form cares about are the two we prepare. We write a unique description for every directory in your plan to that directory's own rules, which for Viberank means a tagline that lands inside 35 characters, and we cut your images to each site's format, which here means a square logo in a file type it accepts and under 2 MB.

Each of the other directories you pick sets its own limits, and each gets copy and images made to them. Your details sit in our dashboard once and the tailoring happens on our side.

Viberank review: the short answer

List it. It is free, it reads 50 on our checker, each of the 450 app pages read sent a followed link to its product and a listing is live the moment it is submitted. The work is exact: 35 characters, a square logo and a homepage worth summarising.

How to submit to Viberank, step by step

  1. 1

    Sign in first

The Submit button opens a sign-in panel for anyone logged out. Email, Google or GitHub all work, and the same account is the one that can edit the listing later.

  2. 2

Pick the app name you will keep

Names are unique across the site and the app page's address is built from the name, so use the product name you intend to keep rather than a working title.

  3. 3

Say what it does in 35 characters

About five words. Name the job and who it is for, and leave the adjectives out; there is no room for them and the About section will carry the detail.

  4. 4

Export the logo as a square PNG under 2 MB

JPG and GIF work too, WebP and SVG do not. It appears at 64 pixels on the boards, so a bold, simple mark survives better than a wordmark.

  5. 5

    Add one or two tags

Twenty characters each at most. Use the words a person would search the board for, then choose the closest of the seven categories.

  6. 6

Read the About the site wrote

Once the listing is live, open your app page and read the summary Viberank made of your website. If it misses the point, rewrite it from the Edit description control, up to 1,500 characters.

  7. 7

Or leave the form work to us

We write the tagline to 35 characters, cut the logo to a square file Viberank accepts and file the listing, as part of a plan where each of the other directories is prepared to its own rules.

Thirty-five characters here. Two hundred and fifty words on the next. $29 writes and files all thirty.

One payment, thirty directories picked in the dashboard with the Domain Rating on each card, a unique description for each one, covers cut to every site's format and a rejection credited back as another directory.

The short version

Free, followed, live on submit. We write the 35 characters.
