AI Trendz's Two Success Stories Are, By Its Own Footer, Its Own Websites
Written by Submitator, which sells a competing directory-submission service. Every figure below is published with its source and its sample size, so you can check it against their site rather than against us.
AI Trendz is a WordPress directory of 3,987 AI tools, Ahrefs DR 33, selling listings from 29,99 €. The submission page is built end to end on backlinks: its two halves are headed "The Old Way (Without Backlinks)" and "The New Way (With Backlinks)", and the promises underneath are "Build a high-authority domain that search engines trust" and "Create an SEO foundation that pays dividends for years".
Under that pitch sit four screenshots: SkySnail before Listing, SkySnail after Listing, ViralSky before Listing, ViralSky after Listing. They are Ahrefs panels and the gains in them are real. Scroll to the bottom of the same page and the footer carries a menu headed "We Also Built": Anderro, SkySnail, ViralSky, Foodient, Infinee Labs.
Both case studies on the sales page are properties the seller built, and the footer of that same page says so. It is a disclosure, not a secret. It is just printed thirty screens below the screenshots it applies to, in a menu of five sites, next to the cookie policy. Read the two facts together and the before-and-after stops being a customer result and becomes a demonstration on the seller's own domains.

Per aitrendz.xyz, its robots.txt, sitemap.xml, /submit-ai-link and the listing pages sampled here, all read on 26 August 2026. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker; no second provider was queried. Nothing was submitted, no account was created and no payment was made. robots.txt answers 200 and is zero bytes. sitemap.xml is a Yoast index of eight sitemaps; product-sitemap 1 to 4 hold 3,987 product URLs, which are the listings, served at /link-detail/<slug>/. The link census is a seeded random sample of 500 of those 3,987, all 500 fetched with zero errors: 498 carry a Visit Website button and 2 do not, all 498 carry rel="nofollow", and all 498 hrefs carry ?via=aitrendz. A separate 400-page pass found a rel=canonical on 400 of 400. Prices, bullets and FAQ answers are quoted from the served HTML of /submit-ai-link, where each shared bullet occurs exactly twice and each turnaround line exactly once, counted in the raw markup. The word dofollow returns no match on that page, and neither do Product Hunt, BetaList, G2, Capterra, AlternativeTo, Futurepedia, Crunchbase, F6S or SourceForge. The four case-study images are Ahrefs free-checker panels hosted at aitrendz.xyz/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/ and carry no date; the ViralSky before panel was taken on the address https://www.viralsky.ai/?via=aitrendz. The "We Also Built" menu and its link to skysnail.io are in the footer of that same page. /terms/, /refund-policy/ and /agency/ each return 404 and the footer Legal menu lists only a Privacy Policy and a Cookie Policy. Submitator does not submit to AI Trendz: our plans are $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60 and $79 for 100, one-time, chosen by you in the dashboard with each Domain Rating shown, rejections credited back as +1 directory and a 30-day refund policy on the conditions in our terms.
How to submit to AI Trendz, step by step
- 1
Decide what you are actually buying
The page argues backlinks for its whole length, but the link on every listing we sampled is nofollow with an affiliate tag on it. What 29,99 € buys is a placement on a DR 33 directory with 3,987 tools on it. That is a real thing. It is just not the thing the surrounding copy is about, and knowing that before you pay is the whole point of reading this.
- 2
Take Basic unless five business days matter
Basic is 29,99 € and Featured is 59,99 €. Their bullet lists are identical apart from one line: "Published within 7 business days" against "Published within 2 business days". Both cards carry "Listed as a featured AI tool for 30 days". If the extra thirty euros is buying you anything beyond a shorter wait, it is not written on the card.
- 3
Have the company details ready
The form wants Tool Link, a short and a long description, name and email, then whether you buy as an individual or a company. Companies get asked for a VAT number, company name, an optional registration number and a full address, because "as per EU legislation, we are required to issue a valid tax invoice for every transaction". Prices are in euros and written 29,99 € in the continental style.
- 4
Read the refund rule, because it is one sentence in an FAQ
"We guarantee an immediate full refund in case your listing doesn't get approved for any reason. We don't provide refunds in other cases." There is no terms of service to read alongside it: /terms/ and /refund-policy/ both return 404 and the footer's Legal menu offers only a Privacy Policy and a Cookie Policy. So the refund is a promise on a page, not a clause in a document.
- 5
Ask what the 110+ directories are before the 299,00 €
Authority Builder promises "Submission to 110+ high-traffic directories" and "Guaranteed DR increase in just 60 days". No directory in that hundred and ten is named anywhere on the page. Ask for the list in writing first: which ones, at what Domain Rating, and how many pass a followed link. It is a fair question and the answer is most of the product.
- 6
Read the case studies with the footer open
The before-and-after panels are for SkySnail and ViralSky, and the footer of the same page lists both under "We Also Built". The numbers in them hold up when you check the domains. They are simply the seller's own results rather than a customer's, which is a different kind of evidence and worth knowing which one you are looking at.
The gains are real, and they are in-house
Start with the credit, because it matters. The four screenshots are Ahrefs panels and the movement in them is genuine. skysnail.io goes from Domain Rating 14 to 29, with linking websites rising from 9 to 84. viralsky.ai goes from 18 to 29, linking websites 6 to 41. We checked both domains against Ahrefs ourselves: skysnail.io is rated 30 today and viralsky.ai 27, which is what you would expect a few months after those panels were taken. Nobody invented these numbers.
What the panels do not say, and what the footer does, is whose sites they are. "We Also Built" lists five properties and two of them are the two case studies. Both are also listings inside their own directory, at /link-detail/skysnail/ and /link-detail/viralsky/, and both of those listings carry the same nofollow Visit button as everybody else's.
None of that makes the service ineffective. It makes the evidence a different thing from what it looks like. A directory-submission campaign run by the seller, on the seller's own domain, with the seller choosing which two results to screenshot, is a demonstration. A customer result is a demonstration plus a customer. The page shows the first and reads like the second.
Thirty euros for five business days
The two listing tiers are 29,99 € and 59,99 €, and we counted their bullets in the raw markup rather than reading them off the screen. "Listed in AI Trendz tool directory" appears twice. "Detailed description, URL and website screenshot" twice. "Indexed on major search engines" twice. And "Listed as a featured AI tool for 30 days", the line the second tier is named after, also twice, which is to say it is printed on the cheaper card too.
One line occurs once each: "Published within 7 business days" under Basic, "Published within 2 business days" under Featured. That is the whole difference. Thirty euros, five business days. It is an honest thing to sell and an easy thing to miss, because the cards are laid out to look like a ladder rather than a queue jump.
A backlinks page whose links are nofollow
We took 500 listings at random from their 3,987 and fetched every one without a single error. 498 carry a "Visit Website" button, and every one of those 498 carries rel="nofollow". Every one of them also ends in ?via=aitrendz. Here is a real one, whole:
"<a href="https://10web.io/?via=aitrendz" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="single_add_to_cart_button button alt ait-button">Visit Website</a>"
Now the fair part. They never promise a followed link. The word dofollow does not appear on the submission page once. What appears instead is "The Old Way (Without Backlinks)", "The New Way (With Backlinks)", a high-authority domain that search engines trust and an SEO foundation that pays dividends for years. The claim is never made and the atmosphere is never anything else.
The 299,00 € tier is our product, unnamed
"Everything included in featured listing + we add your website to more than 110 directories with guaranteed increase in traffic and domain authority", with "Guaranteed DR increase in just 60 days" on the bullet list. That is a directory-submission service, which is what we sell, at 299,00 € against $79 here for a hundred.
Two things about it. The first is that not one of the hundred and ten is named: Product Hunt, BetaList, G2, Capterra, AlternativeTo, Futurepedia, Crunchbase, F6S and SourceForge all return no match on the page. The second is the word guaranteed, used twice, about Domain Rating and about traffic. Both are Ahrefs and Google outputs. A submission service controls what it submits, and nothing after that.
What you cannot read before paying
There is no terms of service. /terms/ returns 404, so does /refund-policy/, and the footer's Legal menu offers a Privacy Policy and a Cookie Policy and nothing else. The refund rule lives in an FAQ answer: "We guarantee an immediate full refund in case your listing doesn't get approved for any reason. We don't provide refunds in other cases."
That is a clear rule and probably an honestly meant one. It is also the only one, for a transaction that runs to 299,00 € and comes with an EU tax invoice. The free tier is gone as well, withdrawn in their own words because "careful review and management of our directory requires substantial work and time resources", which is a reasonable thing to say and leaves 29,99 € as the cheapest door.
Their 29,99 €: one nofollow link. Our $29: thirty directories.
One payment, every directory named in your dashboard with its Domain Rating on the card, and you tick the ones you want before anything is filed.
AI Trendz review: which tier, if any?
The 29,99 € is a small, real purchase: a page on a DR 33 directory with 3,987 tools on it, live in seven business days, kept up afterwards. If you want that placement, buy it and take Basic, because the extra thirty euros buys five days and the featured line is on both cards anyway.
The 299,00 € is the one we would not buy, and not only because it is our category. It is nearly four times what a hundred directories cost here, the hundred and ten are named nowhere, and the word guaranteed is doing work no submission service can do. Ask for the list first. If it comes back and it is good, you will have learned something either way.
And since this page has been about what a buyer can check: nine directories in that hundred sell a paid tier of their own, and we print each one by name with its price on the savings page, over $140 the plan absorbs instead of your card. That list is on screen before you buy, which is the whole argument.
The proof cases are the seller's own sites.
A DR 33 directory of 3,987 tools selling from 29,99 €, where 498 of the 500 Visit buttons we sampled are nofollow with an affiliate tag, the 59,99 € tier differs from the 29,99 € one by five business days, and the two before-and-after cases carrying the 299,00 € pitch are, per the footer of the same page, sites the seller built. The numbers in them are genuine. Our hundred costs $79, and you read the list first. The whole catalog.
FAQ
How much does it cost to submit to AI Trendz?
Three tiers, priced in euros: "Basic Listing" at 29,99 €, "Featured Listing" at 59,99 € and "Authority Builder" at 299,00 €. The checkout dropdown offers those three and nothing else. There is no free route: their own FAQ says "we no longer offer free listings as careful review and management of our directory requires substantial work and time resources".
What is the difference between AI Trendz Basic and Featured?
Five business days. We counted every bullet in the served HTML: "Listed in AI Trendz tool directory", "Detailed description, URL and website screenshot", "Indexed on major search engines" and "Listed as a featured AI tool for 30 days" each appear twice, once under each card. "Published within 7 business days" appears once, under Basic, and "Published within 2 business days" appears once, under Featured. So the 30 extra euros buy speed, and the featured slot the second tier is named after is already printed on the first one.
Is the AI Trendz link dofollow?
No, and to be fair they never say it is. We took 500 listings at random from their 3,987 and fetched every one: 498 carry a "Visit Website" button and all 498 of those carry rel="nofollow". Every one also carries ?via=aitrendz on the end of the address. The word dofollow does not appear on their submission page at all.
What is the AI Trendz Authority Builder for 299,00 €?
Their words: "Everything included in featured listing + we add your website to more than 110 directories with guaranteed increase in traffic and domain authority. Excellent choice for any SaaS." The bullets add "Guaranteed DR increase in just 60 days" and "Detailed Submission Report". None of the 110+ directories is named: Product Hunt, BetaList, G2, Capterra, AlternativeTo, Futurepedia, Crunchbase, F6S and SourceForge all return no match on the page.
Do the AI Trendz before-and-after results check out?
The numbers do. The four screenshots are Ahrefs panels for skysnail.io, showing Domain Rating 14 rising to 29 and linking websites 9 rising to 84, and for viralsky.ai, 18 rising to 29 with linking websites 6 rising to 41. We checked both domains ourselves: Ahrefs rates skysnail.io 30 today and viralsky.ai 27, which is consistent with the after panels. Nothing here is fabricated.
Whose websites are SkySnail and ViralSky?
AI Trendz's. The footer of the same page carries a menu headed "We Also Built" listing Anderro, SkySnail, ViralSky, Foodient and Infinee Labs, and the SkySnail entry links to skysnail.io. So the two before-and-after cases that carry the Authority Builder pitch are properties the seller built. That is disclosed, in the footer, rather than beside the screenshots.
Does AI Trendz have terms of service?
We could not find one. /terms/ and /refund-policy/ both return 404, and the footer's Legal menu holds only a Privacy Policy and a Cookie Policy. The refund rule exists as an FAQ answer: "We guarantee an immediate full refund in case your listing doesn't get approved for any reason. We don't provide refunds in other cases." That is the whole of it, and it is not a document you can hold anyone to.
Is an AI Trendz listing permanent?
They say so: "once your tool is listed on our website, it is available with no time constraints via organic web search". Updates are narrower. Their FAQ says they will revise your description "if your listing is within the pre-paid timeframe", which is a window rather than the permanence the listing itself gets.
Is AI Trendz worth 29,99 €?
As a placement on a DR 33 directory of 3,987 tools, it is a small, real thing and the price is small too. What it is not is a backlink purchase, whatever the page around it argues, because the link on all 498 listings we sampled is nofollow and carries an affiliate tag. Buy it for the placement if you want the placement. The 299,00 € tier is the one to ask questions about first.
Does Submitator submit to AI Trendz?
No. Their top tier sells the same thing we do, submissions to 110+ directories, and it is priced at nearly four times our hundred. What differs beyond the number is that you can read our list: every directory is named in the dashboard with its Domain Rating on the card, and you choose which ones before a single submission is filed. $29 covers thirty, $49 sixty and $79 a hundred, paid once, with a rejection swapped for another directory and a thirty-day refund window on the conditions in our terms.
More submit-to guides.
Thirty directories for $29, and you pick every one.
One payment, each directory named with its Domain Rating on the card before you choose it, badges installed and kept live where one is wanted, and a rejection swapped for another directory.
