BroUseAI Has a Free Tier in Its Markup That No Visitor Can Choose
Start with the good news, because it is real. BroUseAI is an AI-tool directory of 444 listings, and we fetched every one of them. The button that points at the listed tool carries no rel attribute at all on all 443 pages that have one, which is a followed link, with no nofollow, no sponsored tag and no redirector anywhere in the set. Ahrefs rates the domain 11.
Now the part that decides whether to pay. Their pricing block holds two cards, Premium at $29 plus VAT and Basic at $0, and the free one cannot be selected: its wrapper carries the class hidden, which their own stylesheet defines as display:none, and its radio button is marked disabled. The paid card next to it is flex and pre-checked. So there is a free tier in the markup and not on the screen.
<div class="space-y-2 hidden items-center w-full h-full">That is the wrapper around the $0 card, and their stylesheet carries .hidden{display:none}. Its radio input is disabled. The Premium wrapper beside it reads flex and its radio is checked.Read the hidden column anyway, because it is the operator's own description of a free listing: it lists "Receive a valuable dofollow link to boost your SEO", the same line the $29 card leads on.

Per brouseai.com, its robots.txt, sitemap.xml, /submission/ai and every listing page in its sitemap, read on 24 August 2026. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker; no second provider was queried. Nothing was submitted, no account was created and no payment was made. sitemap.xml answers 200 and holds 1,512 URLs: 444 /ai listing pages, 1,000 /categories, 67 /glossary and the root. All 444 listing pages were fetched and all 444 answered, with zero errors. Across them: 443 carry a Visit button and every one of those 443 anchors has no rel attribute of any kind, 440 of the 443 carry a ?ref=brouseai parameter and the remaining three point at affiliate addresses instead; one listing, glasp, carries no Visit button. The pricing block holds two plan cards: the Premium wrapper reads class="space-y-2 flex items-center w-full h-full" with its radio input checked, and the Basic wrapper reads class="space-y-2 hidden items-center w-full h-full" with its radio input carrying disabled, while their own stylesheet at /_next/static/css/f7f89404a3c3b886.css defines .hidden{display:none}; the page was fetched twice, hours apart, with both identical on this point, so the $0 tier is present in the markup and not selectable. The checkmark the paid tier sells renders as a badge-check icon beside the listing's h1 and is present on 155 of the 444 and absent on 289, of which 288 carry a Visit button, and the anchor is identical on both groups; the checkmark is their own stated marker for the paid tier rather than a payment record, so it marks what the tier sells and not who paid. Prices, bullets and notes are quoted from /submission/ai, where the strings "Receive a valuable dofollow link to boost your SEO" and "Get traffic forever from BroUseAI" each occur twice in the pricing block, once under Premium and once under Basic, while "Get a checkmark next to your AI app name" and "skip the queue" occur once each, under Premium only. The checkout figures come from opening the Polar link behind their own Get License Key button without completing it: it names the product BroUseAI Premium and shows Subtotal $29, Taxes $6.09 and Total $35.09, and tax depends on the buyer's location, so that total is the one we were shown rather than a universal price. robots.txt reads User-Agent: *, Allow: /, Disallow: /private/ and names the sitemap. Their /featured page links 15 distinct listings and all 15 carry the hero checkmark, so that draw runs over the 155 that carry one. The listings for ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney and Perplexity carry the checkmark too, which is why it is read here as a ceiling rather than a count of purchases. No visitor, pageview or audience figure appears anywhere on the site. Submitator does not submit to BroUseAI.
How to submit to BroUseAI, step by step
- 1
Decide the tier on queue position, not on the link
This is the whole decision, and their own pricing block makes it easy: "Receive a valuable dofollow link to boost your SEO" is printed under both tiers, and the 288 listings without the paid checkmark carry the same followed link as the 155 with it. What the fee moves is the queue: Basic says "Join the waiting queue" and Premium says "Listed within 48 hours, skip the queue!"
- 2
Ask how long the queue is before you choose
Nothing on the submission page says. There is no published wait, no queue length and no throughput figure anywhere on the site, and the queue is the main thing separating $0 from $29. It costs nothing to ask, and the answer is the only way to price the difference.
- 3
Have the nine fields ready
The form asks for Email, AI Name, AI Url, AI Tagline, Pricing, AI Overview, AI Core Features, AI Use Cases and an FAQ block, with a licence key field for paid submissions. The FAQ block is optional and says so: "Leave it empty if you want us to generate your AI FAQs using AI." If you would rather your own answers were on the page, fill it in.
- 4
Read the content rules before writing the copy
Their notice lists what they reject, including explicit content, NSFW material, gambling, extreme violence, discriminatory content, illegal activity and, in their words, "Harmful misinformation". It closes with "Applications found to contain any of the above elements will be immediately rejected without exception."
- 5
Price the edits before you weigh the tiers
The free tier's own note is "Updating your AI page costs $19", so a free listing you want to revise twice costs more than the paid tier does. Get the tagline, the overview and the feature list right the first time, because on that tier edits are the thing you pay for.
- 6
Know what the checkout will add
The Get License Key button leads to a Polar checkout. It names the product BroUseAI Premium and totals $29 subtotal plus $6.09 tax as $35.09 for the buyer we appeared to be, and it describes itself as a one-time charge. The tier is advertised as "$29" with a struck-through "$59" and a "+VAT" note, so the number you pay depends on where you are.
- 7
Take the URL away and index it yourself
Listing pages carry no canonical tag and no structured data at all, so nothing on the page is helping a crawler place it. Our Growth and Scale plans include that push through IndexMachine.
Credit first: the link is real
Plenty of paid directories mark the link they sell with nofollow or sponsored, or point it at a redirector so your domain never appears. BroUseAI does none of that. We fetched all 444 listing pages in their sitemap, and on every one of the 443 that carries a Visit button the anchor goes straight to the tool's own address with no rel attribute at all. 440 of those carry a ?ref=brouseai parameter and the other three point at affiliate addresses.
So the question is not whether the link is good. It is what the $29 adds, and the board answers that too.
What the hidden column says a free listing gets
Premium is sold on seven lines and the hidden Basic card on five, and three of them are the same line. Both carry "Receive a valuable dofollow link to boost your SEO"and "Get traffic forever from BroUseAI", and Premium's "Prioritize getting indexed on search engines" sits beside Basic's "Get indexed on search engines". The board agrees with them: 289 of the 444 listings do not carry the checkmark the paid tier sells, and the anchors on the 288 of those with a Visit button are identical to the 155 that do.
That leaves the four that are paid-only: "Listed within 48 hours, skip the queue!", "Update your AI page for free, forever!" against the hidden card's "Updating your AI page costs $19", "Get a checkmark next to your AI app name", and "Your app could be featured for 30 days! We pick four AI apps to be featured every week". That is a queue skip, free edits, an icon and a chance at a slot. Two of those are worth pricing properly. Their /featured page holds 15 listings and all fifteen carry the checkmark, so the draw is from the paid pool: fifteen slots against the 155 listings that carry one. And "Get traffic forever from BroUseAI", which is the other half of what you would be paying for, appears on both tiers and is sold against no published figure at all: there is no visitor count, no pageview count and no audience number anywhere on the site.
And the queue skip, the line that heads the paid card, is a skip past a lane you cannot join. The card describing that lane is the one their CSS hides. Whatever the wait would have been, the choice a visitor is actually offered is $29 or nothing.
One caution about that 155, in their favour. The checkmark is not a receipt: the listings for ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney and Perplexity all carry one, and those are not customers who filled in a form. Read 155 as a ceiling on how many were bought rather than a count.
The $29 is not what the checkout says
The tier is advertised as $29, with $59 struck through beside it and "+VAT" underneath. We opened the Polar checkout behind their own button without completing it: it names the product BroUseAI Premium and prints Subtotal $29, Taxes $6.09 and Total $35.09. Tax depends on where the buyer is, so that total is the one we were shown rather than a universal figure, but the headline number is not the number for everyone.
Where a listing page is thin
One thing to plan around after you are listed. The listing pages carry no canonical tag and no structured data of any kind, on every page we read. The link is followed, which is the part that matters, but nothing on the page is doing anything else to help it place. That makes the URL one to push to an indexer rather than leave sitting.
Their $29: one listing. Our $29: thirty directories.
Same money, one payment. Thirty separate domains you tick off yourself, with the rating of each one on the card while you choose it.
BroUseAI review: is the $29 worth it?
The listing is worth having and the link is genuine, which is more than several paid AI directories can say. The trouble is the shape of the offer. The dofollow link the $29 advertises is printed on the $0 card too, and the $0 card is the one their CSS hides and their form disables, so the alternative you would weigh it against is not on the table. What is left to buy is a place in a queue whose length nobody publishes.
Then there is the number itself. Their Premium is $29, which is exactly what our Starter plan costs. Theirs is one listing on a domain Ahrefs rates 11, before the tax the checkout adds. Ours is thirty directories, about 97 cents each, every one a separate domain with its rating on the card before you pick it. Same money, one listing against thirty, and the thing their $29 leads with is already sitting on their own free tier.
One more thing that price absorbs. Nine of those thirty sell a paid tier of their own, and the plan covers each of them, over $140 of launch fees that never reaches your card.
The free tier is display:none.
A DR 11 board of 444 listings where every Visit button is a followed link, and a pricing block with two cards, one of which their CSS hides and their form disables. The hidden one is the $0 tier, and it lists the same dofollow line the $29 leads on: 155 listings carry the checkmark the fee sells and 289 do not, and the anchors match. What the fee buys is a queue skip whose length nobody publishes, free edits against $19 a time and a checkmark. The checkout we opened totalled $35.09. Our $29 has no tier above it at all: thirty separate domains, about 97 cents each. The whole catalog.
FAQ
What is BroUseAI?
An AI-tool directory of 444 listings, Ahrefs DR 11. Each listing gets a page with a tagline, an overview, a features list, use cases, an FAQ block and a button to the tool's own site. Its submission page shows a $29 plan; a $0 plan exists in the same markup but is hidden by CSS and cannot be selected.
How much does it cost to submit to BroUseAI?
$29 plus VAT, because that is the only tier a visitor can choose. Their Premium card reads "$29" with "$59" struck beside it and "+VAT" underneath, and the Polar checkout behind its button priced that as $29 subtotal plus $6.09 tax, "$35.09" total, as a one-time charge. A Basic card at "$0" sits in the same pricing block, but its wrapper carries the class hidden, which their stylesheet defines as display:none, and its radio input is disabled.
Is the BroUseAI link dofollow?
Yes, and it is worth saying plainly: we fetched all 444 listing pages in their sitemap and every one of the 443 that has a Visit button carries it with no rel attribute at all, which is a followed link. 440 of those 443 point at the listed tool with a ?ref=brouseai parameter. There is no nofollow, no sponsored and no redirector anywhere in the set.
Does the free BroUseAI listing get a dofollow link too?
By their own markup, yes, though you cannot choose that tier. The line "Receive a valuable dofollow link to boost your SEO" appears twice in the pricing block, once under Premium and once under the hidden Basic card, as does "Get traffic forever from BroUseAI". The board bears it out. The paid plan sells "Get a checkmark next to your AI app name", 155 of the 444 listings carry that checkmark and 289 do not, and every one of the 443 listings that has a Visit button carries the same followed link with the same ?ref parameter.
What does the $29 actually buy on BroUseAI?
Four things, once you line the visible card up against the hidden one. Premium is sold as "Listed within 48 hours, skip the queue!", "Prioritize getting indexed on search engines", "Receive a valuable dofollow link to boost your SEO", "Get traffic forever from BroUseAI", "Update your AI page for free, forever!", "Get a checkmark next to your AI app name" and "Your app could be featured for 30 days! We pick four AI apps to be featured every week". The hidden Basic card carries three of those same lines, the dofollow link, the traffic promise and getting indexed, so what is left for the fee is the queue skip, free edits against its "Updating your AI page costs $19", the checkmark and the featured chance. The queue it skips is the one described on the card nobody can pick.
How long is the BroUseAI waiting queue?
No length is published, and there is no visible way to join it. The hidden Basic card says "Join the waiting queue" and the paid card says "Listed within 48 hours, skip the queue!", while nothing on the submission page states how long that queue is or how often it moves. Since the free card is not selectable, the queue is worth asking about in writing before paying to skip it.
What does the BroUseAI form ask for?
Email, AI Name, AI Url, AI Tagline, Pricing, AI Overview, AI Core Features, AI Use Cases and an FAQ block, plus a licence key field if you have paid. The FAQ block carries its own note: "Leave it empty if you want us to generate your AI FAQs using AI."
Is a BroUseAI listing worth $29?
The listing is worth having, because the link is real and it is followed. What the $29 adds over the tier their own markup describes is queue position, a checkmark and a featured chance, and that free tier is hidden, so paying is the only route on offer. Weigh the number too: $29 is one listing on a domain Ahrefs rates 11, before the VAT the checkout adds, while our $29 is thirty directories, each with its rating on the card before you pick it.
Does Submitator submit to BroUseAI?
No. Their paid tier costs exactly what our whole Starter plan costs, it is the only tier their page lets a visitor choose, and what it adds over the free one described in their own markup is queue position, a checkmark and a chance at a featured slot, not the link. What we sell is the opposite shape, with no tier above the one you buy: $29 covers thirty directories, $49 sixty and $79 a hundred, paid once, and every one is a separate domain with its rating shown while you pick it. A directory that turns you down is swapped for another, and the refund window runs thirty days on the conditions in our terms.
More submit-to guides.
Same $29. One listing there, thirty directories here.
One payment, thirty domains you choose from a rated list, badges installed and kept live where one is wanted, and a rejection swapped for another directory to pick.
