The SR Booster Alternative: $79 for 100, With a 30-Day Refund

"No Refunds," say the Terms

Start where the money is. SR Booster's plans guarantee minimum backlink counts, "25+ backlinks guaranteed" on the $99 plan, "100+ quality backlinks guaranteed" on the $399 one. Ask what happens if a guarantee is missed, and the Terms of Service answer a different question entirely: "No Refunds. StartupRanking is not obligated to provide you a refund at any time." The same document provides the service "as is" without warranties, names no governing law, and opens with boilerplate from some other product's life ("We run a web site hosting service called StartupRanking.com... Our service is free", on a page selling $99 to $399 packages). A guarantee with no remedy and no refund behind it is a number, not a promise. Submitator's version is mechanical: 30-day money-back, and every directory that rejects your listing credited back as +1.

$3.30 a directory, at every size

The pricing is unusually consistent: $99 for 30+, $199 for 60+, $399 for 120+, which works out to about $3.30 per directory no matter how much you buy, against Submitator's $0.79 to $0.97. Their cheapest plan costs $20 more than our most expensive. Two details from their own pages are worth a look before choosing a tier: the $99 Basic has X-marks in the plan table next to "Accelerated indexation speed" and the category-specific directory list, so the entry plan skips both; and the archive shows that in 2019 the same $99 bought submissions to 50+ directories, today it buys 30+. To be fair on the other side of the ledger: the current prices are a cut from December 2025's $119/$249/$499, and there are no fake countdowns or struck-through anchors on the page today.

Over half the list is nofollow, by their own labels

Here SR Booster deserves real credit and a real caveat in the same breath. The credit: they publish a preview of their directory list with each entry's DR, DA, and link type, transparency most of this market doesn't attempt, and their advertised DR averages actually check out against it. The caveat: by their own labels, 54 to 57 percent of each plan's list is nofollow, which their marketing site describes accurately as a "Do Follow + No Follow Mix". They never claim otherwise, so read the labels before you pay $3.30 a directory for links where more than half pass no equity. Submitator's stated focus is the other way around: dofollow links from DR 40 to 90 directories, with each directory's DR on screen as you pick.

"Startup directories," including Tumblr and GETTR

Read the visible part of the Ultimate list closely and the "120+ startup directories" turn out to include Gravatar, Pinterest, Medium, Tumblr, Quora, SlideShare, Bluesky, GETTR, BitChute, Linktree, and a run of link-in-bio pages, social platforms and profile hosts, not startup directories, Gravatar among them labeled nofollow in the same table. The list also dips as low as DR 6 and DR 16. None of this is hidden (again, credit for publishing it), but a submission to your own Tumblr page is not what most founders picture when they buy a directory campaign. Submitator's catalog is 100+ named startup directories, browsable in your dashboard, each with its DR, and you decide what makes your list.

They pick, you email exclusions, it takes weeks

The workflow: pick a plan size, pay, and their agents "create your access accounts and list your company in each directory according to your plan." Your documented control is an email "indicating which directories on our list you want to exclude". Delivery, per their FAQ, "usually takes between two weeks and four weeks, depending on your plan." One more quirk worth knowing: buying Booster does not get you listed on StartupRanking itself. That's a separate product, $49 to $99 for fast approval, or a free queue their own how-it-works page describes as an 80+ day wait. Submitator's flow is the inverse: you pick every directory in the dashboard, the batch runs in 24 to 48 hours, and live links appear as listings complete.

Twelve years old, five reviews

On trust, the picture is mixed and worth stating plainly. StartupRanking is a genuinely established platform: running since around 2013, actively updated, DR 62, operated by a named company with a published address in Lima, and the Booster's real-time report (screenshots, live links, login credentials, duplicates flagged) is the kind of proof we wish more services offered. At the same time, its Trustpilot profile holds just five reviews, averaging 3.2, including a March 2026 buyer of the Ultimate package who reports three unanswered emails after payment (the most recent review, from July 2026, is positive); the company does reply to negative reviews within about a day. Weigh that record against a Terms page that rules out refunds, and decide how much benefit of the doubt $399 should buy.

When SR Booster might fit

To be fair: SR Booster is one-time with no scarcity theater, its published list preview (with DR, DA, and link-type labels) is more transparent than most of this market, its DR-average claims hold up against its own data, prices were recently cut, and the real-time report with screenshots and live links is genuinely good delivery proof. If you want an established, twelve-year-old operator to run a hands-off campaign and you've read the list and the No Refunds line and are fine with both, it's a workable premium option. Submitator is the better fit when you want to pick your directories, pay $0.79 to $0.97 per directory instead of $3.30, keep the focus on dofollow links, have badges handled, finish in a day or two, and hold a 30-day money-back refund.
