A 300-Word Floor, and a Summary That Becomes Your Page Title.
We submit customers to ThisTool. The site, its rules and the form below are described as of 2 October 2026.
ThisTool is a new directory of software and AI tools, 109 of them in ten categories, and it lists yours free after a manual review. Its form asks for more writing than most: a description of at least 300 words and a summary of at least ten.
In return the listing links to your site twice, and both links are followed. Nothing is asked of your site, no badge and no link back. Two paid plans, Instant List at $9 and Featured at $19, buy a quicker review and a place on the home page.
Those 300 words are where the time goes. When customers tick ThisTool in their dashboard, we write them.

That is 164 followed links, written into the page itself, on pages open to indexing.

Per thistool.com, its home page, /submit, /rules, /contact, /search.php, its ten category pages and 82 of the 109 pages under /tool/, the newest and oldest of every category, read on 2 October 2026; nothing was submitted or paid for. The plans, the fields and their limits are quoted from the submit page and its validation code, and match our founder's screenshots of the form taken the same day. The 300-word and 10-word floors, the repetition check and the rule against a summary that copies the description are checked by the form before it sends; the five most recent listings run from 314 to 571 words. Each of those 82 pages links to its tool twice, from two Visit Website buttons with rel="noopener noreferrer", straight to the address given with no redirect: 164 links, none nofollow, sponsored or ugc, all in the served HTML, with meta robots "index, follow"; two pages re-fetched with a Googlebot user agent carried the same links. The page title format, the square logo slot and the logo's reuse as the share image are read from the listing pages' markup. No review time and no length for Featured appear anywhere on the site; what Featured shows is read from the home page, where three cards marked Featured each carry a direct Visit Site link. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker, which returned 0. Submitator's founder states that we submit customers to ThisTool, write a unique description for each directory and cut images to each site's format and that the customer gives us their email and we enter it. Starter is $29 for 30 directories, Growth $49 for 60 and Scale $79 for 100, each paid once and chosen in the dashboard; a rejected submission is credited back as another directory to choose, and refunds follow the 30-day conditions in our terms.
Ten words that turn into a title
The short summary sits right under your tool's name on the listing, and it has a second job: it becomes your listing page's title, as "Name - Summary | ThisTool", so it is the line a search result shows. It needs at least ten words and stops at 180 characters.
Write it the way you would write a page title: the product's job first, then who it is for. It also has to stand on its own: paste in the description, or just its first sentence, and the form answers "Summary must not be a copy of the description."
Three hundred words, counted as you type
The description box counts words live and holds the form back until it reaches 300. It checks for repetition too: repeat the same few words and it replies "Description looks repetitive — please write genuine, varied content." The five most recent listings on the site run from 314 to 571 words.
Three hundred words is room for what a buyer actually wants to know: the problem, how the product solves it, the main features, who uses it and what it costs. The editor has bold, lists and links, but published descriptions show as one block of plain text, so bullets and headings run into the sentences around them. Write it as flowing sentences, not a list.
Six ticks before it sends
Under the description box sits a checklist headed "Before you can submit": a tool name, a category, a valid HTTPS address, a summary of at least ten words, a description of at least 300 and a logo. The URL has to start with https://, and the field's hint reads "Use your official HTTPS website."
The rules page adds one firm line about that address. It must be the tool's own homepage or landing page, and "Referral codes, affiliate tracking IDs, or URL shorteners designed to generate commissions are strictly forbidden and will lead to instant rejection." Keyword-stuffed titles are edited or removed by the moderators.
One square image, used twice
The logo is required, as a JPG, PNG, WEBP or SVG file of 2 MB at most. Your listing page shows it in a small rounded square, cropped to fill it, so a wide wordmark loses its edges. The same file then becomes the image a link to your listing shows when it is shared, on X, LinkedIn or anywhere else that reads it.
A square logo with the mark in the middle and clear space above and below it survives both uses, since X shows the share card wide and trims a square file's top and bottom. That is the file to upload.
Where a listing shows up
Once published, the tool has a page of its own carrying the summary in its title, the pricing type, a view count and the two Visit Website buttons. It joins the All Tools list and its category, where the newest come first. On the home page, the Latest Tools section shows the twelve newest listings outside the Featured Tools block. Visitors can rate and review a tool, and reviews are moderated before they appear.
Instant at $9, Featured at $19
Instant List adds "Priority review" and "Faster publication" to the same listing. Featured takes everything in Instant and adds "Homepage placement" and a "Featured badge": a card in the Featured Tools block above the latest listings. The block holds three cards today, each marked Featured and each with a Visit Site button straight to the tool. Featured tools also sit first in the All Tools list.
The listing page and its two links are the same on every plan. Paying buys a shorter wait and a spot on the home page, and both are paid through PayPal.
Our side of the form
Customers who choose ThisTool get both texts written for it. The summary is built to clear ten words and still read as a title. The description clears 300 and is written for this listing, not carried over from another directory.
We cut the logo square for ThisTool and enter the email address you give us. The listing then goes in as one of the directories in your Submitator plan.
ThisTool review: the short answer
A clear yes. The free plan carries two followed links, nothing goes on your site and a person checks each listing before it appears. The cost is the writing: three hundred words of varied prose and a summary that doubles as the title. Pay $9 if the review time matters to you, or $19 if you want a card in the Featured block on the home page.
How to submit to ThisTool, step by step
- 1
Pick a plan
Standard is $0 with a manual review. Instant List ($9) and Featured ($19) are paid through PayPal; they shorten the wait and, with Featured, add the home page, but the listing is the same.
- 2
Name the tool, choose a category, give an HTTPS URL
The name may run to 100 characters; pick one of ten categories. The address must start with https:// and be the official homepage or landing page; referral and affiliate links are rejected.
- 3
Add your email and the pricing type
The pricing type is Free, Freemium (preselected), Paid or Free Trial. The social links for X, Instagram and LinkedIn are optional.
- 4
Upload a square logo
JPG, PNG, WEBP or SVG, no larger than 2 MB. The page crops it square and reuses it as the share image.
- 5
Write the summary
At least ten words within 180 characters. It may not copy the description's opening, and it becomes the page title.
- 6
Write 300 words of description
Varied, specific prose about the problem, the features and the audience. The form will not send until the counter reaches 300.
- 7
Or leave both texts to Submitator
We write the summary and the description for ThisTool, square the logo, enter your email and file the listing as one of the directories in your Submitator plan.
Their $9 skips one queue. Our $29 covers thirty directories.
One payment, every directory named in your dashboard with its Domain Rating on the card, text written for each one and the ones you tick filed for you.
Free, followed and 300 words long.
ThisTool lists software and AI tools free after a manual review, links to each one twice with followed links and asks nothing of your site. The price of entry is the writing: a ten-word summary that becomes the page title and a 300-word description. Instant ($9) and Featured ($19) buy a quicker review and the home page; our $29 covers thirty directories, with both texts written here and the logo squared. The whole catalog.
FAQ
Is ThisTool free?

On the home page that is a card in the Featured Tools block, marked Featured and carrying a Visit Site button straight to the tool, and Featured tools sit first in the All Tools list. The site does not say how long it lasts.
Does ThisTool want a badge or a link back?
