How to Submit to There's An AI For That, and What $49 Buys

There's An AI For That (theresanaiforthat.com, TAAFT for short) is the largest AI directory we have measured. A live counter on its homepage read 51,946 tools when we checked in July 2026, FrogDR puts the domain at DR 77 and the domain itself dates to October 2022. It is run by a named Romanian company with a data protection officer whose phone number is published. Listing costs $49, described on the page as a "one-time review fee", and submission is about as simple as it gets: one required field, your tool URL, from a signed-in account.

No, Submitator doesn't submit here, so treat this as a how-to rather than a pitch. Nothing about this one needs debunking either. The link is a real dofollow, the pricing is one-time and has come down rather than up, and the refund policy does what refund policies should. What follows is the flow, the two things worth knowing before you click, and one condition that decides what order you should do your launches in.

Submitator math

Their $49 and our $49 are the same money pointed at different things: one listing on a DR 77 site carrying 51,946 tools, against 60 startup directories you pick in the dashboard at about 82 cents each. We don't submit here, so these are two line items rather than a choice. If you are buying both, buy theirs first, because their ad credit requires it.

Per theresanaiforthat.com's launch page, FAQ and Terms when last checked in July 2026. Pricing: 'Website only' $49 'one-time review fee'; 'Everything you need' $347 'one-time fee' adding a 'Guaranteed spot in the #1 AI newsletter on the planet (2.5M+ subscribers)'; plus a contact-only Custom Launch Plan. Its FAQ answers 'Is the submission fee one-off or recurring?' with 'The submission fee is one-off.' The $347 radio is preselected on the form and labelled Recommended. Link check: 58 listing pages sampled, each carrying four links to the tool's own domain with no rel attribute and no redirect hop, only a ?ref=taaft parameter; their paid ad slots do carry rel='nofollow noopener'. Across nine of their pages we found no marketing use of 'backlink', 'dofollow', 'domain rating' or 'domain authority'. Their robots.txt disallows AhrefsBot and SemrushBot while leaving Googlebot free, so the link is unlikely to appear in those tools' reports. Archived pricing ran $299 through early 2025, $99 by June 2025 and $49 from September 2025, unchanged for about ten months since. A recurring 'Highlight ($99/mo)' upsell present on the submission page until late 2024 is gone. Operator: There's An AI For That SRL, Bucharest, domain created October 2022. Submitator does not submit to There's An AI For That; it is $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60 and $79 for 100, one-time, chosen by you in the dashboard with DR shown, badges installed and kept live, 24–48h delivery, a live link per completed listing, rejections credited back as +1 directory and a 30-day money-back refund.

How to submit to There's An AI For That, step by step

  1. 1

Sign in, then open the launch page

The form lives at theresanaiforthat.com/launch and needs a signed-in account. Payment runs through Stripe, per the note under the button.

  2. 2

    Paste your tool URL

That is the only required field. Their helper text explains why: 'The URL above will be used to populate your tool page. Edit access is provided upon email verification.' So the listing is built from your site, and you get to edit it once you verify your email, rather than filling in a long form up front.

  3. 3

    Check which package is selected

The $347 'Maximum Exposure' option is preselected and labelled Recommended. If you want the $49 listing, select 'Website Only' before you pay. If your accelerator gave you a code, pick 'Redeem a prepaid code' instead and the button changes to 'Redeem code & Launch Tool'.

  4. 4

    Optionally pick a launch date

A checkbox reads 'I want to schedule my launch date' and reveals a date-time field plus a timezone selector. Useful if you are lining the listing up with a Product Hunt day or a funding announcement.

  5. 5

Submit and wait for the email

Submissions are reviewed by a human. Their FAQ puts the average at 1-2 days and says you'll get an email when the listing goes live. If it isn't approved, the fee is refunded automatically.

There's An AI For That pricing: $49, or $347 by default

Two tiers plus a custom one. "Website only" is $49, a "one-time review fee" for a "Permanent listing" that "Never expires", with basic analytics and a $100 ad credit. "Everything you need" is $347, also one-time, and the thing it really buys is the newsletter: a "Guaranteed spot in the #1 AI newsletter on the planet (2.5M+ subscribers)", plus priority review and a larger credit. Both are genuinely one-time, and their FAQ says so when asked: "The submission fee is one-off." The one thing to watch is that the $347 radio is the one already selected when the form loads. It is labelled Recommended and nothing is concealed, but if you came for the $49 listing you have to pick it. While you are reading the cards, treat the click estimates as marketing rather than a commitment, and it is a copy mismatch rather than anything worse since the price is identical in both places: the same $49 tier is quoted as "50 - 100 estimated clicks (first week, casual/discovery traffic)" in the pricing block and "100 - 1,000 estimated clicks" on the card inside the form.

They sell traffic. The dofollow comes free.

We sampled 58 live listing pages in July 2026 and read the raw markup on each. Every one carried four links to the tool's own domain with no rel attribute at all, pointing straight at the destination with a ?ref=taaft parameter and no redirect hop. Their paid ad slots are a different matter and carry rel="nofollow noopener", which is exactly the right way round: advertising nofollowed, editorial followed. Then the part that says something about how they operate. We searched nine of their pages for "backlink", "dofollow", "domain rating" and "domain authority" and found no marketing use of any of them. Their pitch is traffic, headlined "Get Guaranteed Traffic From 4M+ Monthly AI Enthusiasts." The paid AI directories we have checked tend to do this in reverse, selling the link and quietly shipping nofollow.

Why it won't show up in your Ahrefs report

Their robots.txt disallows AhrefsBot, AhrefsSiteAudit, SemrushBot and several Semrush variants outright, while Googlebot is left free. The inference, and we'll mark it as one, is that those crawlers cannot fetch the page your listing sits on, so the link is unlikely to appear in an Ahrefs or Semrush backlink report even though Google can see it perfectly well. Founders check the wrong dashboard and conclude the listing did nothing. If you want to know whether the link exists, open your own listing and read the markup. If you want to know whether it worked, look at referral traffic. Our own DR checker won't see it either, for the same reason.

The free route is one tool a month

There is one, and they put it in their own FAQ instead of burying it: "We run a thread on X once a month where indie makers can submit their tool for free. We choose one tool from each thread and list it for free." That wording has been on the page unchanged for more than twenty months. They pick one tool per thread, so it is worth entering and not something to plan a launch around. The other no-payment route is the prepaid code field on the form, which reads "Use a prepaid submission code from your organization — no payment required." If your accelerator, employer or investor holds codes, ask before you pay.

Launch here first if you want the ad credit

This is the most useful practical fact on the page, and it decides the order you do things in. The credit is $100 on the $49 card and $300 on the $347 one, and both are worded as "up to". It carries a condition, in their words: "*Launch on TAAFT first and get up to $300 PPC bonus. Your tool must not appear on any other platform before the launch. We automatically apply the bonus to qualifying tools after submission." Take that at face value. If you run a directory batch anywhere, ours included, before you launch here, you have almost certainly spent it, and they say the bonus is applied automatically to qualifying tools, so qualification is their call rather than yours. Read "any other platform" literally too: if your tool is already on Product Hunt or anywhere else, assume the credit is gone and pick your order on other grounds. If it is still available and you want it, launch here first, wait for the listing to go live, then run everything else.

Line the other sixty up while you wait.

The TAAFT review takes a day or two. Spend it building your list in the dashboard, with every directory named and its DR beside it, so the batch goes out the moment the listing lands.

Start — from $29

Is a There's An AI For That listing worth $49?

On the evidence, yes, and we say that as somebody who does not sell it. The directory is the biggest we have measured and the scale is checkable on their own live counter rather than taken on faith. The listing is permanent, the review is done by humans who state a 1-2 day average, they say they re-test links and retire dead entries, which we cannot check from outside, and the link they give you is a genuine dofollow they do not even market. The price has moved in the founder's favour, from $299 through most of 2024 and early 2025 to $99 by that June and $49 since September, and a recurring $99-a-month upsell that used to sit on the submission page is gone. The refund does the honest thing: automatic if they don't publish you, nothing once they have and no promises about results either way. Go in knowing the $347 option is preselected, and that the $49 tier buys the listing, not the newsletter.

The short version

Worth the $49. Not the $347.

Paste your URL, select "Website Only", pay $49 once and wait a day or two for a permanent listing with a dofollow link on a DR 77 site. Do it before any other directory run if you want their ad credit. Then, separately, the other sixty directories are $49 with Submitator, and you choose every one of them.

FAQ

How much does it cost to submit to There's An AI For That?

$49, described on the page as a 'one-time review fee' for the 'Website only' tier. There is a second tier at $347, 'one-time fee', which adds the newsletter slot, which they state reaches 2.5M+ subscribers, plus priority review and a bigger ad credit, plus a contact-only Custom Launch Plan. Nothing here is a subscription: asked 'Is the submission fee one-off or recurring?' their FAQ answers 'The submission fee is one-off.' Worth knowing before you click: the $347 option is the one preselected on the form, clearly labelled Recommended, so if you came for the $49 listing, select Website Only before you pay.

Is a There's An AI For That listing dofollow?

Yes, and this is the part they undersell. We sampled 58 live listing pages in July 2026 and the link to the tool's own website carried no rel attribute at all on every one of them, four such links per page, pointing straight at the destination with a ?ref=taaft tracking parameter and no redirect hop. Their paid ad slots are nofollowed and their editorial listings are not, which is the right way round. They also never advertise any of it: across nine of their pages we found no use of 'backlink', 'dofollow', 'domain rating' or 'domain authority' as a selling point. They sell traffic and hand you the link quietly.

Why doesn't my There's An AI For That link show up in Ahrefs?

Because their robots.txt blocks the crawlers those tools use. AhrefsBot, AhrefsSiteAudit, SemrushBot and several Semrush variants are all disallowed outright, while Googlebot is not, so the link is real and crawlable by Google but is unlikely to appear in an Ahrefs or Semrush backlink report. That is an inference from their robots file rather than something they state, but it explains a result founders often panic about. Judge the listing on traffic and on Google, not on whether your backlink tool noticed it.

Can you submit to There's An AI For That for free?

There is a free route, and to their credit it sits in their own FAQ rather than being hidden: 'We run a thread on X once a month where indie makers can submit their tool for free. We choose one tool from each thread and list it for free.' They pick one tool per monthly thread, so it is worth entering and not something you can schedule a launch around. A second no-payment route exists if your accelerator or employer holds codes: the form offers 'Redeem a prepaid code' with the note 'Use a prepaid submission code from your organization — no payment required.'

How long does There's An AI For That take to review a submission?

Their FAQ says 'The average processing time for submissions is 1-2 days.' and 'Yes, you will receive an email notification when your AI goes live.' Review is human: the form states 'All submissions are manually reviewed by our staff. We accept: AI tools, GPTs and AI influencers (non-human).' Acceptance is at their discretion and their Terms reserve the right to reject without explanation, but that is paired with an automatic refund if you aren't published, which is the fair way to structure it. Once you are published, their Terms say that as a general rule the fee is not refunded, and we found no results guarantee.

Does Submitator submit to There's An AI For That?

No, so this guide is a straight how-to rather than a pitch. They are additive, not alternatives: their $49 buys one listing on a DR 77 site carrying 51,946 tools, and our $49 buys 60 startup directories you choose yourself in the dashboard with each one's DR on screen, about 82 cents each, one-time, with badges installed and kept live, a 24 to 48 hour batch, a live link per completed listing, rejections credited back as +1 directory and a 30-day refund. If you're doing both, do theirs first, for the reason in the launch-order section above.

Sixty more, once the big one is live.

Startup directories you pick yourself with the DR beside each, badges handled by one embed, a live link as each listing goes up. $49 for 60, one-time, 30 days to change your mind.
