How to submit to Toolsfine, step by step

The funnel is fixed and they say so: /services-plan, then the submission form, then a success page. Choose Paid Submit at $10 or Paid and Featured at $50 before you reach the form.

Tool name, website URL, founder or company, contact email, pricing model, a short intro and a logo URL are all required. Product details, features and the backlink URL are optional. You do not pick your category: it is assigned by hand during review.

Free or $10? Their site says both
Start here, because it is the question people actually arrive with. The current funnel is unambiguously paid: their plans page offers "one paid submission plan, one featured upgrade, a 3-business-day review SLA", and the submission form ends at PayPal.
But Toolsfine never took down its older collaboration page. It is live, it is listed in their own sitemap, and it still reads: "You can freely submit your AI tools and products for free. Submission is free." The free submission form linked from it still loads. We did not put a listing through it, so we can't tell you a free submission still gets published, and the paid funnel is plainly the one they maintain. Treat the free page as a leftover rather than an offer, but know it is there before you assume $10 is the only door.
The backlink field is a fossil
The form asks for a "Backlink URL" and nothing on the current site explains why. The archive does. Until at least November 2025, their terms read: "we now offer priority processing (within 72 hours) for websites that provide a do-follow backlink to https://toolsfine.com/. If no backlink is provided, submissions will still be accepted, but a one-time processing and top placement on homepage fee of USD $50 will apply."
That was the deal: link back and get in free and fast, or pay instead. The 2026 rebuild dropped the wording and kept the field, whose placeholder is still https://yourtool.com/toolsfine, a page on your site pointing at theirs. So you are now asked for a link-back while also paying, with no stated benefit either way. This is the part of directory submission that quietly eats founders' time: every directory wants a badge or a link somewhere, each one is a separate change to your site, and nobody tells you which ones still matter.
What is genuinely good here
Credit where it is due, because plenty of $10 directories deserve none. The Domain Rating is 65 on FrogDR's certified badge. The links are followed: on eight live listings the outbound link to the tool's own site carried rel="noopener noreferrer" and nothing more, and that reads as a deliberate choice rather than an oversight, because Toolsfine does use nofollow elsewhere on its own pages. The review is a real editorial check for "fit, clarity, and duplicate risk".
They also make no traffic claims at all, which is rarer than it should be, and they disclaim traffic-based ranking outright: "First-launch ranking logic uses Toolsfine on-site click data only. External traffic estimates are not part of the published ranking model." And the price has gone down over time, from $100 in 2024 to $50 through 2025 to $10 now. Nobody is being squeezed here.
Pay first, review second, no refunds
The ordering is the real risk and the terms are explicit: "Paid service is treated as executed work, so refunds are not offered after confirmation." You pay, then a human decides, and paying does not buy a decision. Their own FAQ, on whether the featured upgrade guarantees approval: "No." What happens to the $10 on an outright rejection is not published anywhere.
For a site taking payments, the paperwork is thin. There is no terms of service page at all, that URL returns a 404, and the privacy policy is unedited boilerplate that still describes comment forms and login cookies the current site does not have. The operator is not named and no company is listed, though they are reachable: a ProtonMail contact address, stated support hours in JST and a one-business-day reply target. Reachable but unincorporated, with no refund policy, is the amount of recourse on offer.
One more thing about the neighbourhood
Toolsfine publishes content rules stating it does not accept "gambling, marijuana, pornography, violence, war, drugs, children-targeted, or other uncomfortable topics". On their live pages we found listed tools that sit awkwardly against that rule, including a deepnude app that Toolsfine itself describes as "a website that offers a deepnude application", carrying the same followed link treatment as everyone else. Listings are automatically cross-linked into "Alternatives & Similar Tools" blocks and generated comparison pages, so you do not choose which listings yours sits beside.

If you specifically want to be on Toolsfine, it is a defensible $10. Real DR 65, a followed link, a genuine review and no sales theatrics. Go in knowing the fee is non-refundable by their own terms, that approval is not what you are buying, and that your page will be auto-linked to whatever else lives in your category.
