Submit to LiftOff

LiftOff Charges 9 € for Featured. Every Submitator Plan Covers It.

Written by Submitator. LiftOff is a directory we submit customers to and a partner of ours, so read this as a recommendation rather than a neutral review. Every figure below is quoted from their own pages so you can check it against them.

LiftOff is a launch platform for makers and small teams, rated 48 by Ahrefs, with four one-time launch plans and a calendar you pick your launch date from. Their free route is genuinely free and genuinely honest about what it asks in return. Their 9 € Featured tier removes what it asks.

That 9 € is one of the nine paid launch tiers a Submitator plan absorbs, so if you are launching through us you are on the Featured layer already: no badge on your own site, a permanent dofollow rather than one conditional on the day's ranking, and instant approval instead of the standard queue.

What the 9 € actually removes

The free plan says "Do Follow backlink only if top 5 daily ranking" and "Required to display a badge on your site". Featured says "Permanent Do Follow backlink to your site" and "No badge required to launch". Same listing, two conditions lifted, nine euros. Your plan here pays that nine euros, which is the whole reason this page exists.

Per lift-off.sh, its /pricing page, its /legal/badge-policy page and its submission flow, all read on 1 September 2026. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker, which returned 48; no second provider was queried. Plan names, prices and every bullet are quoted from their pricing page: the Free plan lists "Do Follow backlink only if top 5 daily ranking", "Required to display a badge on your site", "Get displayed on the homepage upon launch" and "Standard review and approval queue"; Featured at 9 € lists "Special ribbon on your product forever", "Spotlight placement on the homepage", "No badge required to launch", "Permanent Do Follow backlink to your site" and "Instant approval and a faster queue"; Boost at 29 € adds a boosted visual treatment, "Launch tomorrow - no waiting line", +25 Fuel and dedicated social posts; All-In at 49 € combines both and adds an SEO and AEO optimised product page, a dedicated SEO blog post and an advertising discount. They also sell recurring placements at 99 €, 79 € and 49 € a month. The badge requirement is quoted from their badge policy: "If your product launches on the Free plan, you must display a visual LiftOff badge on all public pages of your website, preferably in the footer. Text-only attribution is not sufficient." Submitator submits customers to LiftOff and covers the Featured tier within every plan, which is listed on our savings page at $9 against their 9 € price; LiftOff is also a Submitator customer, and the Ahrefs screenshot on our proof block was taken when its Domain Rating read 36. Our plans are $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60 and $79 for 100, one-time, chosen by you in the dashboard with each Domain Rating shown, rejections credited back as +1 directory and a 30-day refund policy on the conditions in our terms.

How to submit to LiftOff, step by step

  1. 1

Have the product assets ready before you open the form

The first screen wants all of it at once: your URL, a name up to 32 characters, a tagline up to 128, a description up to 4096 with markdown supported, a logo as PNG, JPG, WEBP or AVIF up to 5 MB, and 16:9 screenshots. Their own note under the step is blunt about it: fill every field here before moving on.

  2. 2

Write the tagline like it is the listing

128 characters, one clear sentence about what the product does, and it is what people read in the feed. The 4096-character description is where the detail goes, and markdown works there, so use headings and a short feature list rather than one long paragraph.

  3. 3

    Fill the positioning step properly

Second screen: open or closed source with a repo URL if it is public, a pricing category, a category you search for, and your X and Bluesky handles. There is also an optional discount code with an expiry date and a deal description, which renders as a badge on your listing and a banner on your product page. If you have a launch offer, this is a free slot to put it in.

  4. 4

Take Featured, and let your plan pay for it

The free plan gives you a do-follow link only if you finish in the day's top five, and asks for a badge on every page of your site permanently. Featured at 9 € makes the link unconditional and drops the badge requirement. Every Submitator plan covers that 9 €, so there is no reason to launch on the free route.

  5. 5

Pick your date on the calendar

The last step is a month view where you choose the launch day, and the plan you picked decides what is available: Boost promises launching tomorrow with no waiting line and All-In takes priority over Featured. Pick a weekday you can actually be around for, because launch day is when the votes and comments arrive.

  6. 6

If you do go free, read the badge policy first

It is short and it is on its own page. The badge must be visual rather than text, on all public pages, preferably the footer, and you may not remove it after launch or the do-follow link goes. That is a clear and fair rule, and it is also the exact thing the 9 € removes.

Why we send customers here

Most of the pages in this series exist because a directory charges a lot for a little. This one is the opposite. LiftOff is DR 48, its top launch plan is 49 € rather than the two and three hundred some boards ask, and every plan says in one line what it buys. The badge rule lives on its own policy page instead of a footnote, and the free tier is a real free tier rather than a hidden one.

It is also a two-way relationship, which we should say plainly. We submit customers to LiftOff, LiftOff gives Submitator customers its Featured tier at no cost, and LiftOff is a customer of ours: the Ahrefs card on our own pages is theirs, taken when it read 36. It reads 48 today.

The free plan is honest, and the 9 € is better

Read their free tier carefully, because it is unusually clear: "Do Follow backlink only if top 5 daily ranking" and "Required to display a badge on your site". Both conditions are stated on the pricing card itself, not discovered afterwards, and the badge policy spells out the rest: it must be visual, on every public page, and removing it after launch costs you the link.

Plenty of launch boards run the same arrangement without printing it anywhere. This one prints it twice. What Featured does for 9 € is lift both conditions: "Permanent Do Follow backlink to your site" and "No badge required to launch", plus a ribbon on the product, homepage spotlight placement and instant approval instead of the standard queue.

Nine euros to keep your own footer and to stop the link depending on how a Tuesday goes is, in our view, the easiest upgrade decision on any launch board we have written about.

What your plan already pays for

LiftOff Featured is one of nine paid launch tiers our plans absorb. It sits on our savings page at $9 against their 9 € price, alongside TryLaunch Pro, StartupInspire Standard, Uneed Fast-track, ShowMySites Premium, DeepLaunch One-Time Pro, ProductInspire Pro and a featured spot on AffyList, which is our own directory. Together they come to over $140 that never reaches your card.

So the practical answer to which LiftOff plan to pick is: the one you already have. Launch on Featured, keep your footer, keep the link whatever the day's ranking does, and spend the attention on the tagline and the screenshots instead of on the pricing table.

The rest of what they sell

Above Featured sit two more one-time tiers. Boost at 29 € adds a boosted visual treatment across the site, "Launch tomorrow - no waiting line", +25 Fuel and dedicated posts on their social accounts. All-In at 49 € combines both, takes priority over Featured in the queue, and adds an SEO and AEO optimised product page plus a dedicated blog post.

Separately they rent recurring placements: a Home Page Spotlight at 99 € a month, a Sidebar Card at 79 € and a Footer Spotlight at 49 €. Those are advertising rather than launching, and worth knowing about only if you have a campaign to run. For a launch, Featured is the tier that matters and it is the one you have.

LiftOff Featured, included. Plus twenty-nine more directories.

One payment, every directory named in your dashboard with its Domain Rating on the card, and you tick the ones you want before anything is filed.

LiftOff review: which plan should you launch on?

Featured, and you should not pay for it. The free route works and the people running it are upfront about its two conditions, but a badge on every page of your own site forever and a link that depends on finishing top five are real costs, and nine euros removes both.

Boost at 29 € is worth thinking about if you are timing a launch and want the next-day slot and the social posts. All-In at 49 € makes sense if you want the blog post as well. Neither is necessary for the link, which Featured already makes permanent.

And if you are launching through us, the decision is already taken. Your plan covers Featured, so open the form, fill the three steps and pick a date.

The short version

Launch on Featured. Your plan already paid for it.

LiftOff is a DR 48 launch platform with four one-time plans: free, 9 €, 29 € and 49 €. The free one gives a do-follow link only if you finish in the day's top five and asks for a badge on every page of your site. The 9 € Featured tier makes the link permanent and drops the badge, and every Submitator plan covers that 9 € as one of nine launch fees it absorbs. The whole catalog.

FAQ

How much does it cost to submit to LiftOff?

Four one-time options. The Free Plan is free forever. Featured is 9 €, Boost is 29 € and All-In is 49 €. Separately they sell recurring advertising: a Home Page Spotlight at 99 € a month, a Sidebar Card at 79 € and a Footer Spotlight at 49 €. Every Submitator plan covers the Featured tier for you, so the launch itself costs you nothing extra.

What does the LiftOff free plan include?

Their four bullets, verbatim: "Do Follow backlink only if top 5 daily ranking", "Required to display a badge on your site", "Get displayed on the homepage upon launch" and "Standard review and approval queue". It is a fair trade and they state it openly, which is more than most launch boards do.

What does the 9 euro Featured plan add?

It removes the two conditions. Their bullets: "Special ribbon on your product forever", "Spotlight placement on the homepage", "No badge required to launch", "Permanent Do Follow backlink to your site" and "Instant approval and a faster queue". So the link stops depending on where you finish that day, and your own footer stays yours.

Do Submitator customers pay for LiftOff Featured?

No. Featured is one of the nine paid launch tiers our plans absorb, listed on our savings page at $9 against their 9 € price. Your Starter, Growth or Scale plan covers it, so you launch on the Featured layer without the badge requirement and without a separate payment.

Does LiftOff require a badge on your website?

On the free plan, yes. Their badge policy is explicit: "If your product launches on the Free plan, you must display a visual LiftOff badge on all public pages of your website, preferably in the footer. Text-only attribution is not sufficient." The submission flow adds that you may not remove it after launch or you lose the do-follow link. Featured, Boost and All-In all say "No badge required to launch".

What is LiftOff's Domain Rating?

48 on Ahrefs when we checked, which puts it among the stronger launch boards in our catalog. It has also been growing: the proof card on our own pages shows a screenshot taken when it read 36.

What does the LiftOff submission form ask for?

Three steps. First the product itself: URL, name up to 32 characters, a tagline up to 128, a description up to 4096 with markdown supported, a logo up to 5 MB and 16:9 screenshots. Then positioning: open or closed source, a pricing category, a category, X and Bluesky handles, and an optional discount code with an expiry date. Then the plan, a launch date from their calendar, and your badge if you are on the free route.

Can you pick your LiftOff launch date?

Yes, once a plan is selected. The final step is a month calendar with a next-day launch option, and the paid tiers change what you can reach: Boost says "Launch tomorrow - no waiting line" and All-In says "Skip the waiting queue, priority over Featured". On the free plan you are in the standard review queue.

Is LiftOff worth launching on?

We think so, and we put our own customers there. It is DR 48, the plans say plainly what each one buys, the badge rule is written down in its own policy page rather than buried, and the paid tiers are 9 to 49 euros rather than the hundreds some launch boards ask. Our only advice is to take Featured rather than free, and since your plan already covers it, that decision is made for you.
