The gap is what a dollar buys, and whether anyone names the doors it opens.

Zero named directories

Directory Blast is a directory-submission product that does not name one directory. The targets are described as "the essential SaaS directories" and "additional quality directories"; there's no published list, no counts breakdown, no per-directory DR, and the only choice in the flow is which JustLaunched listing to attach ("Choose your listing first"). The FAQ does say plainly that the targets are free directories ("We focus on free directories so the price you pay is for our work."), which is honest about what the fee covers, and keeps premium, paid-entry directories out of the product's focus. Submitator's catalog is the inverse: every directory named in the dashboard, DR 40 to 90 as the stated dofollow focus, each one's DR on screen, picked by you.

A DR floor is not a DR lift

Growth and Pro wear "Domain Rating 10+ guaranteed" and "Domain Rating 20+ guaranteed" badges, and unlike most DR promises in this market, there's a written mechanism behind them: after "typically 60–90 days" they check your Ahrefs DR, and "If it has not reached the guaranteed floor, we keep submitting you to additional quality directories at no extra cost until it does — or refund your order." Credit for writing a remedy down at all. Now read it as a buyer. It's a floor on your site's DR, not a lift: if your site already rates above 10 or 20, the guarantee was satisfied before you paid. If it isn't, the stated first remedy is more submissions, with the refund sitting at the end of a sequence they order. And "Starter is a backlink boost without a DR guarantee", so the $49 tier is covered by nothing except terms that are non-refundable once work starts. Submitator doesn't sell DR floors; you pick the directories, and every completed listing shows you its live link.

The gate: list there first

You can't just buy the blast. "Directory Blast is an add-on to your live JustLaunched listing. If you have not listed yet, submit your startup first (it is free) and then come back." Free, in their pricing's own framing, means "$0 in exchange for the badge": you display JustLaunched's badge on your site and wait through a 5-to-7-business-day review and a queued launch date, or pay $9 to skip the queue and drop the badge, or $29 for a dofollow link and feed placement. None of that is hidden, and the $29 dofollow claim actually checks out in their markup. It's still a toll booth in front of a $49-to-$189 purchase. Submitator has no gate: pick a plan, pick your directories, done.

Registered May 2026, and the testimonial that says "months"

The domain was registered May 24, 2026. At our July 2026 check, the homepage carried a testimonial from "Maya R. · Founder, analytics SaaS": "Listing on JustLaunched gave us a clean, permanent page that still sends signups months after launch day." A months-old result doesn't fit a weeks-old domain. The Terms, dated three weeks after registration, describe a "Founder Membership" that "is closed to new subscribers and is no longer sold" while the Investors page still shows a live "Become a Founder Member" button alongside "No founders are listed just yet".

The numbers and paperwork tell the same story. The site's own stat bar counts 55 upvotes across 898 launches, and the VerifiedDR badge its listing pages link to reports TrueDR 31 with no monthly traffic data. No person or company is named anywhere, the Terms name no entity or governing law and the About URL is a 404. None of this is name-calling; it's the site's own dates, numbers and pages, read together. For balance, the parts that check out: the 898 launch counter matches the sitemap exactly, and the free tier's badge-for-listing trade is stated plainly.

When JustLaunched might fit

To be fair: the free listing tier is a genuinely free launch page (the badge trade is disclosed, not smuggled), the $29 promoted listing's dofollow claim verifies in the HTML, the blast hands you the submission inbox credentials so the listings are yours to keep, the 48-hour turnaround matches ours and the DR-floor guarantee, whatever its mechanics, is a written remedy most rivals don't offer. If you want a hands-off blast attached to a launch listing and you're comfortable not knowing which directories, from an operator who isn't named, it's an option.
