On ToolHunter the Free Plan Already Gets the Followed Link.
We file customers on ToolHunter's free plan. This guide describes toolhunter.io and its submit form as they stood on 1 October 2026.
With 313 listings across 36 categories, ToolHunter covers AI tools only, and its submit page opens with a promise worth reading twice: "Free listings are reviewed by a person, not skipped by a bot."
There are three plans. Free costs nothing and is reviewed within 7 to 14 days. Featured is $29 and Premium $99, both one-time launch prices, and their own pricing page says what the money buys: "Paid tiers buy speed and placement — never a better rank."
The link is the same on every listing we read: a Visit Site button and a plain text link straight to the tool, neither of them nofollow. So the free listing is the one to file, and it is the one we file for customers.
| Plan | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 forever | Standard listing, reviewed in 7 to 14 days, upvotes and search |
| Featured | $29 one-time, $49 from 15 Nov | Approved within 24 hours, blue Verified badge, Featured section for 30 days |
| Premium | $99 one-time, $149 from 15 Nov | Approved within 8 hours, gold badges, homepage placement for 60 days, a review article |
All 313 tool pages link to their tool twice, and none of those 626 links is nofollow, sponsored or ugc. They go straight to the tool's own address and sit in the page's HTML rather than being added by a script. The pages are open to indexing. The newest free listings look exactly like the rest.

Per toolhunter.io, its home page, /submit, /pricing, /about, /contact, /terms (last updated 1 September 2026), /privacy, llms.txt, robots.txt, its sitemap and all 313 tool pages at /tool/<slug> the sitemap lists, read on 1 October 2026; nothing was submitted or paid for. The plan cards, the launch prices and the 15 November rise are quoted from our founder's screenshots of the submit page taken the same day, since the page renders them in the browser; their feature lists, the pricing copy and the form limits (a tool name of up to 100 characters, a tagline of up to 80 and a description of up to 1,000) are the same as in the site's own application code. Review times are quoted from /contact: "Free submissions are typically reviewed within 7–14 days, Featured submissions within 24 hours, and Premium submissions are approved within 8 hours." Every tool page carries a Visit Site button (rel="noopener noreferrer") and a plain link with no rel, both pointing directly at the tool's address with no redirect; 626 links on 313 pages, none nofollow, sponsored or ugc, all present in the served HTML, with meta robots "index, follow"; two pages re-fetched with a Googlebot user agent were identical. Their robots.txt allows all crawlers. No paid listing was live to compare, so the paid plans are described by their own wording only. The refund wording is section 5 of their terms. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker, which returned 0; the domain was registered on 18 June 2026. Submitator's founder states that we submit customers to ToolHunter on its free plan, and that we write a unique description for each directory and cut images to each site's format. Starter is $29 for 30 directories, Growth $49 for 60 and Scale $79 for 100, each paid once and chosen in the dashboard; a rejected submission is credited back as another directory to choose, and refunds follow the 30-day conditions in our terms.
A person reads every submission
ToolHunter makes a point of it on every plan: "nothing is published automatically — a human on our team checks every submission before it goes live." The free plan simply waits its turn, and the confirmation says how long: "We'll review your tool within 7–14 days and email you."
Their terms describe the same gate from the other side: they may decline a tool that is unlawful, NSFW or "primarily designed to mislead or harm users". A real product with a clear description is what the review is there to let through.
Seven fields and a logo
Seven fields are required: the tool name, its URL, a one-line tagline, a category, a pricing label (Free, Freemium or Paid), a description and an email; only the logo is optional. The tagline field asks "What does it do, in one sentence?" and takes up to 80 characters, and the description asks you to "Tell us what your tool does, key features, and who it's for." in up to 1,000.
Skip the logo and ToolHunter fetches one from your domain: "We'll auto-fetch a logo from this domain if you skip the upload below." If you do upload, they want a square at 400 × 400 in PNG, SVG or WebP, up to 2 MB. A clean square logo makes a better first impression than whatever a favicon service finds.
Featured and Premium buy time and space
The paid plans are honest about their scope. Featured, $29 at the launch price, brings approval within 24 hours, a blue Verified badge and 30 days in the Featured section. Premium, $99, adds approval within 8 hours, gold Trending and Verified badges, 60 days of homepage placement and an in-depth review article. Both prices rise on 15 November, to $49 and $149.
What they do not buy is rank, and the pricing page says it three times: "Search results, category order, ratings and upvote counts work the same whether a tool paid or not." If you want the faster review or the extra visibility, that is the place to pay for it. If you want the listing and the link, the free plan covers both.
Free plan, filled in for you
The tagline is written to land inside 80 characters and the description for their 1,000-character box, with the features and the audience they ask for. Your logo is cut to their square format instead of being left to the automatic fetch.
Each directory gets its own paragraph from us, so the ToolHunter listing does not read like the one before it. The review then takes its 7 to 14 days on their side, as it would for anyone.
Free or Featured?
For most tools, free. On ToolHunter the free listing already carries a followed link, the pricing page says paying never buys a better rank and a person reviews every submission. Featured and Premium make sense when the week of the launch matters more than the money, and their plan cards say plainly what each one buys.
