DealMyApp Is Free. Your Link Just Starts Switched Off.
Written by Submitator. DealMyApp is one of the directories we file customers to, so we have a reason to like it. The numbers below come from a census of every listing on the site, and the method is in the footnote.
DealMyApp is a marketplace for indie apps, rated 31 by Ahrefs, holding 539 listings. Listing costs nothing, they take no commission on a sale, and every submission goes through AI screening and a human review before it appears, usually inside a day. In a category full of open databases, that is a real front door.
The part to understand before you file is the link. It does not arrive followed. Their FAQ says new listings and Quick Lists start as nofollow, and that there are exactly two ways to change that: put their badge on your site and get it verified, which switches it on straight away, or wait and earn it through completeness and real visitor traffic.
Every listing on the site, not a sample. Of the 536 where the outbound link could be attributed, 424 pass equity and 112 still carry nofollow. One in five listings has not earned it yet. The badge is the switch, and installing badges and keeping them live is part of what you are paying us for.

Per dealmyapp.com, its /how-it-works, /showcases and /deals pages, its listing form and its sitemap, all read on 3 September 2026. Domain Rating is Ahrefs' figure via submitator.com/domain-rating-checker, which returned 31; no second provider was queried. The link finding is a full census, not a sample: all 539 listing URLs in the sitemap were fetched and parsed, all 539 returned successfully at 83-116 KB, none carried a robots noindex, and each page carries a constant block of 30 site-wide outbound anchors to other directories, which were identified by their frequency and excluded. Of the remaining anchors, 424 listings link to the listed app with the rel attribute carrying only noopener, so they pass equity, and 112 carry nofollow; three listings could not be attributed because the app they list is itself one of the sites in that site-wide block, which is why the base is 536 rather than 539. Only two rel strings appear anywhere in the corpus, "noopener" and "nofollow noopener". That is one day's snapshot and their own rule is that listings move from nofollow to dofollow over time, so the split will shift. The dofollow mechanism, the Quick List ranking penalty and its removal, the review process, the 24-hour review estimate, the deals carousel boost and the free-to-list terms are quoted or paraphrased from their published FAQ and How It Works pages; their wording for the modes, "'Sell' is for selling your whole project to a new owner, not for selling licenses, seats, or plans to your users. To promote your product to customers, choose Showcase and post a deal.", is from the listing form. Nothing behind the form was observed: no listing was submitted, so acceptance rates and turnaround in practice are outside what we can report, and DealMyApp states it does not process payments, verify financial claims or mediate disputes. Submitator files customers to DealMyApp and installs and keeps badges live where a directory wants one. Our plans are $29 for 30 directories, $49 for 60 and $79 for 100, one-time, chosen by you in the dashboard with each Domain Rating shown, rejections credited back as +1 directory and a 30-day refund policy on the conditions in our terms.
How to list on DealMyApp, step by step
- 1
Skip Quick List, even though it is offered first
The form dangles it at the top: just an email and a URL, and their AI writes the listing from your site. It is also the worst version of this. Their own FAQ says Quick Lists are heavily penalised in ranking and start as nofollow, because an auto-generated entry has no screenshots, no numbers and none of the detail buyers look for. If you already made one, claim it with the same email and enrich it; they say the penalty lifts once you do.
- 2
Choose Showcase unless you are genuinely selling
This is the one place people get it wrong, and the form warns about it in so many words: Sell is for handing your whole project to a new owner, not for selling plans to your users. If you want customers and visibility, pick Showcase. You can flip to for-sale later without relisting.
- 3
Answer the stage and age questions honestly
Revenue Generating, Early Stage, Pre-launch or Starter Project, then an age range. Buyers and browsers filter on exactly these, so an overstated stage puts you in front of the wrong audience and gets you nothing. Pre-launch is a real category here, not a consolation prize.
- 4
Fill the app details properly, because a human reads them
Name, description, project type, niche, website URL, tech stack, up to eight tags and an optional demo video. The description prompt asks for key features, target market and growth potential, which is a fair guide to length. This is also what the manual review is judging for completeness, so thin copy is what gets sent back with questions.
- 5
Give metrics if you have them, and skip them cleanly if you do not
The financials block wants an asking price, monthly revenue, estimated monthly costs and a cost confidence rating, with visitors and user counts optional. Their note under it says listings with metrics get more visibility. Rough estimates are explicitly fine, and Not sure / Skip is a real option, so guessing wildly is worse than leaving it out.
- 6
Add up to five images, then install the badge
Images are required and you get five, drag to reorder. Then the step that decides whether any of this passes equity: add their badge to your own site and get it verified, and the listing's View Site link becomes dofollow immediately, with a ranking boost on top. Leave the badge off and you wait for the link to be earned through traffic.
- 7
Post a deal if you have one
Running a discount or a launch offer? Posting it as a deal puts you in the carousel on their homepage and gives the listing a temporary ranking boost while it runs. It costs nothing and it is the only lever here that lifts you without waiting.
The badge is the whole difference
Most directories treat a badge as a favour they ask for. DealMyApp is unusually honest about what it is: a trade, priced in link equity, published in their own FAQ. Put their badge up and the link on your listing turns followed the moment they verify it, plus a ranking boost inside the site. Do not, and you are waiting on "content completeness and real visitor engagement" to get you there.
Our census is what that policy looks like from outside: 112 listings sitting there right now with the link switched off. Those are real products, live on the site, getting the visibility and not the equity.
One badge is easy. The reason it goes wrong is that it is never one badge, and each one has its own snippet, its own verification and its own rule about what happens when it disappears. Badges are installed and kept live wherever a directory in your plan asks for one, DealMyApp included:
Badges Submitator places + keeps live
What they get right
Worth saying plainly, because it is rarer than it should be. Every listing is read by a person before it goes live, and they will reject with feedback rather than publish something thin. They take no commission on a sale, which separates them from most of the marketplaces they compete with. And they are candid about their limits: they do not process payments, do not verify financial claims and cannot mediate a dispute, all of which is written on their own pages rather than discovered afterwards.
The Showcase mode is the piece most people miss. It is a free, reviewed, indexed product page in a marketplace people browse by niche and stage, with no obligation to put a price on anything. For a founder who wants users rather than an acquirer, that is the whole point of being here.
$0 here, once the badge is up. $29 for thirty directories with it handled.
One payment, every directory named in your dashboard with its Domain Rating on the card, badges installed and kept live where one is wanted, and you tick the ones you want before anything is filed.
DealMyApp review: the short answer
List, use the full form, pick Showcase, and get the badge up. It is free, it is reviewed by a human, the page you get is a proper listing rather than a row, and at DR 31 a followed link from it is worth having.
The five minutes their form promises is roughly honest if you have your numbers and screenshots ready. What takes longer is the part after: the badge that turns the link on, and remembering it is there in six months.
Free to list. The badge turns the link on.
DealMyApp is DR 31, free, takes no commission and reviews every listing by hand within a day. New listings and Quick Lists start nofollow: their badge on your site switches the link on immediately, or you wait and earn it. We censused all 539 listings and 424 of the 536 we could attribute have it, so 112 do not. Use the full form, choose Showcase, put the badge up. The whole catalog.
FAQ
Is DealMyApp free to list on?
Yes, with nothing held back behind a tier. Their own answer is “Listing is completely free, whether you're selling or just showcasing. We don't charge commissions or listing fees. You keep 100% of whatever you and the buyer agree on.” There is no paid upgrade on the form and no cut taken on a sale.
Does DealMyApp give a dofollow link?
Eventually, and not at first. Their FAQ is unusually direct about it: new listings and Quick Lists start as nofollow, and there are two ways to earn the follow on your listing's View Site button. Adding their badge to your own site and getting it verified switches it on immediately, along with a ranking boost. Otherwise it comes over time, based on how complete your listing is and how many real visitors it gets.
How many DealMyApp listings actually have a dofollow link?
We censused every listing in their sitemap rather than sampling. Of the 536 where the outbound link could be attributed, 424 pass equity and 112 still carry nofollow. So about four in five have earned it and one in five has not, which is roughly what their own rule predicts.
Should you use DealMyApp's Quick List?
No, unless you plan to come back and fix it. Quick List takes only an email and a URL and generates the listing from your site, but their FAQ says Quick Lists are heavily penalised in ranking and start as nofollow. The penalty is not permanent: claim the listing with the same email, add screenshots and a real description, and by their account it is removed once the listing is substantively enriched.
What is the difference between Sell and Showcase on DealMyApp?
Sell means you set an asking price and buyers contact you with offers. Showcase means you are putting the app in front of the community to build traction with no price commitment. Their form says it plainly: Sell is for selling the whole project to a new owner, not for selling licences, seats or plans to your users. If you want customers rather than an acquirer, choose Showcase. You can switch at any time.
How long does DealMyApp take to review a listing?
Most within 24 hours, by their account. Every submission goes through AI screening that checks for red flags, financial inconsistencies and misleading claims and visits your site to confirm it exists, then a manual review for completeness and legitimacy. They will either come back with questions or reject with feedback.
What is DealMyApp's Domain Rating?
31 on Ahrefs when we checked. Solid rather than spectacular, and worth more than the number suggests once the link is followed, because listings are indexed and browsable by niche, project type, stage, price and revenue.
What does posting a deal on DealMyApp do?
It puts you in the deals carousel on their homepage and gives your listing a temporary ranking boost while the deal runs, with the most engaged-with deals rising to the front. If you have a discount code or a launch offer, it is a free second slot of visibility on top of the listing itself.
Is DealMyApp worth submitting to?
Yes, and we file customers there. It is free, it is reviewed by a human before it goes live, and the listing is a proper page rather than a row in a table. Go in knowing the link starts nofollow and that the badge is what switches it on, which is the part we handle.
