How to Submit to MagicBox Tools (DR 70)
MagicBox Tools (magicbox.tools) is an AI tools directory with listing pages in four languages, about 6,000 tool pages in its sitemap, DR 70 per the independent tracker FrogDR and a named solo operator (Corey Chiu) behind it. Listing costs $15.9 one-time for Basic or $19.9 one-time for Featured, with a $29.9/month Sponsored tier and bulk Member plans above that, plus a badge-gated free path the pricing page doesn't show as a card. The links are the honest headline: on every listing we checked, the directory delivers the dofollow it promises.
What this guide adds is the theater around that real link: a "5 remaining" scarcity counter that hasn't moved since at least October 2025, visitor and user stats hardcoded as text, testimonials that ship inside the site's own code bundle, a hero claiming over 20,000 tools against a sitemap showing 6,009, Terms of Service with unfilled template placeholders and a flat no-refunds line for the one-time plans.
$15.9 at MagicBox buys one listing in one directory. Submitator's $29 plan submits you to 30 directories you pick in the dashboard (about $0.97 per directory, with each directory's DR on screen), badges handled, dofollow as the stated focus. Their Sponsored tier runs $29.9 every month; every plan here is one-time.

Prices per its /submit-plan page, July 2026, each shown against a struck-through anchor (19.9 / 29.9 / 39.9) that has been identical in every archived copy since August 2025. Featured carries the banner '$10 off special discount for 10 spots total - 5 remaining', a hardcoded string unchanged since at least October 2025. Free tier exists in the submit flow ('Verify your AI tool with our badge to submit for free'), quoting 30-45 day review and 'Nofollow backlinks from homepage'. On the eleven live listings we checked, outbound links to the tool's site carried no nofollow (their homepage-nofollow limit is their own disclosure); the rel attribute is theirs to change. Review time is quoted three ways ('Reviewed in 7 days' Basic, 'Reviewed in 3 days' Featured, 'within 1-3 business days' in the submit toast). FAQ verbatim: 'We do not offer refunds for basic plan and featured plan because it's a one-time payment.' Terms contain unfilled placeholders ('[Your Jurisdiction]', '[Your City, State/Country]') and name no entity. Stats block figures ('22K+ Monthly Visit', '1,200+ Registered Users', '85% Avg Engagement Rate') are hardcoded strings in the site's code. DR 70 per FrogDR. Per its site when last checked (July 2026).
How to submit to MagicBox Tools, step by step
- 1
Fill the three-field form
The submit form asks for Tool Name, Website URL and Contact Email, then Continue. That's the whole intake; listing content is generated on their side ('Information generated by advanced ChatGPT' is a Basic-tier bullet).
- 2
Pick a plan, or the badge-gated free path
Basic $15.9 one-time, Featured $19.9 one-time, Sponsored $29.9/month. The free path requires placing their badge code on your site ('Verify your AI tool with our badge to submit for free') and quotes a 30-45 day review with homepage links nofollow.
- 3
Pay via Stripe
Cards via Stripe ('Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover'). Know the policy first, their FAQ verbatim: 'We do not offer refunds for basic plan and featured plan because it's a one-time payment.' The Terms also reserve the right to reject submissions, with no refund-if-rejected exception published.
- 4
Wait out whichever queue applies
Their own strings quote 'Reviewed in 7 days' (Basic), 'Reviewed in 3 days' (Featured) and 'within 1-3 business days' (the submit confirmation toast). The listing goes live with generated copy; the Claude listing, added July 2024, still calls Claude an open beta.

The dofollow is real. Credit where due.
We pulled the raw HTML of eleven live MagicBox listing pages in July 2026, a mix of paid-looking and free-type listings. On every one, both outbound links to the tool's site (the Visit button and the screenshot link) carried no nofollow, with clean direct URLs and no tracking parameters. That's the promise on the pricing page ("DR72 dofollow backlinks from content page") delivered, and delivered even on listings that don't look paid. Their own tier notes disclose the boundary honestly: homepage links are nofollow. Three footnotes belong next to the credit: the bullets say "DR72" while FrogDR tracks the domain at 70; VerifiedDR puts a "TrueDR" of 55 next to that 70, its measure of how much of the authority is backed by real traffic signals; and the rel attribute stays theirs to change at any time.
The counter that never counts down
The Featured tier wears a banner: "$10 off special discount for 10 spots total - 5 remaining". That string is hardcoded in the site's code, and archived copies show it reading exactly "5 remaining" in October 2025, in May 2026 and at our July 2026 check. The strikethrough prices tell the same story: $15.9 struck from 19.9, $19.9 from 29.9, $29.9 from 39.9, identical in every archived capture since August 2025. The real prices have been stable for a year, which is genuinely to their credit; the "discounts" hanging off them appear to be permanent decoration. Buy at $15.9 if $15.9 is worth it. Just don't buy because you're about to miss the last five spots. Those five have been remaining for nine months.
Hardcoded stats, bundled testimonials
The pricing page's stats block reads "22K+ Monthly Visit", "1,200+ Registered Users", "85% Avg Engagement Rate" and "500+ Tools Listed". All four values are fixed strings in the site's code, not live metrics, and the third-party estimate we could find (VerifiedDR) puts traffic around 8.5K a month. The size claims disagree with each other too: the homepage hero says "over 20,000 awesome AI tools", the sitemap lists 6,009 tool pages, and the pricing page says "500+". The testimonials sit in the same bundle: "John Smith", an "AI Writing Tool Founder" whose "user base grew by 300%", plus "Sarah Johnson" and "Mike Chen", all shipped as code strings, alongside leftover template testimonials that praise the site's own "tailwindcss" components. And the identity claims collide head-on: the hero says the directory is "continuously updated daily by the advanced ChatGPT-5!" while the By a Human page says every product "has been personally researched, selected, and published" by its solo developer. The listings side with the hero: the Claude page still describes Claude as "currently operating in an open beta phase", unchanged since 2024.
Template terms, no entity, no refunds
The Terms of Service page, last updated June 2025, still contains the template's blanks: governed by "[Your Jurisdiction]" law, arbitration under "[Arbitration Rules]", location "[Your City, State/Country]". The privacy policy lists its business address as "[Your business address]". No page names a legal entity. Meanwhile the refund position is unambiguous: "We do not offer refunds for basic plan and featured plan because it's a one-time payment", and the Terms reserve the right to reject submissions with no refund-if-rejected exception anywhere. One more artifact worth knowing: the site's own code bundle ships an admin control labeled "Approve All" with the confirmation prompt "Are you sure you want to approve all {count} pending sites?". What that says about how the 3-to-7-day "review" happens is your call; the button exists.
One door for $15.9, or thirty for $29
Here's the fair framing, because the sticker price is genuinely low: $15.9 one-time for a dofollow listing on a real DR-70 domain is not a rip-off, and if you want exactly one more AI-directory link, it's a defensible buy. The math changes the moment you think in campaigns. $15.9 buys one door. Submitator's $29 plan buys 30 doors you pick from the catalog in your dashboard, each with its DR on screen (the catalog runs up to DR 93), which is about $0.97 per directory, roughly a sixteenth of MagicBox's per-door price. Dofollow links are the stated focus (DR 40 to 90 directories), badges are installed and kept live where directories require them, which is exactly the chore MagicBox's free tier hands you (their badge on your site, then a 30-45 day queue), and the batch goes out in 24 to 48 hours with a live link per completed listing, rejections credited +1 and a 30-day money-back refund against their published no-refunds line. The recurring tiers make the gap wider: Sponsored at $29.9 every month is $358.80 a year for one directory's sponsored slot, more than four of our $79 top plans, every year.
| Feature | MagicBox Tools | Submitator |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | $15.9–19.9, one listing | $29 for 30 directories |
| Recurring | Sponsored $29.9/mo | None, one-time only |
| Links | Dofollow, delivered (checked) | Dofollow focus, DR 40–90 |
| Badges | Required for the free tier | Installed and kept live |
| Refund | 'We do not offer refunds' | 30-day money-back |
Submitator does not submit to MagicBox Tools; the comparison is what the money buys. 'Dofollow, delivered (checked)' compresses our July 2026 check of eleven live listings (no nofollow on content-page links to the tool's site; homepage links are nofollow per their own tier note; rel is theirs to change). Refund cell quotes their FAQ on one-time plans. Submitator's $29 plan covers 30 directories you pick (larger plans: 60 for $49, 100 for $79), badges handled, live link per completed listing, rejections credited +1, 30-day money-back refund.
Thirty doors for less than two of theirs.
Pick your 30 from the catalog with DR on screen, badges handled, batch submitted in 24 to 48 hours, live links as listings complete. $29 one-time, no monthly anything.
The link is real. The "5 remaining" isn't.
A delivered dofollow on a DR-70 domain, sold under a scarcity counter frozen since October 2025, hardcoded stats, bundled testimonials and terms addressed to "[Your Jurisdiction]". Pay $15.9 for one door if you like it. $29 buys thirty.
FAQ
How much does a MagicBox Tools listing cost?
Basic is $15.9 one-time (struck through from 19.9), Featured is $19.9 one-time (struck from 29.9), Sponsored is $29.9 per month (struck from 39.9), and there are bulk Member tiers at $39.9 and $49.9 per month. Every strikethrough has shown the same 'discount' since the earliest archived copy of the pricing page (August 2025); the struck prices appear never to have been charged. A free tier also exists but isn't shown as a pricing card: it requires verifying a badge on your site and quotes a 30-45 day review. Payments run through Stripe, and the FAQ states flatly: 'We do not offer refunds for basic plan and featured plan because it's a one-time payment.'
Are MagicBox Tools listings dofollow?
Yes, and that deserves saying plainly: on all eleven live listing pages we checked in July 2026, both outbound links to the tool's site carried no nofollow, with clean direct URLs and no tracking parameters, on paid-looking and free-type listings alike. Their own tier notes disclose the limit honestly: homepage links are nofollow ('Nofollow backlinks from homepage'); the dofollow lives on the tool's content page. Two footnotes: their sales bullets say 'DR72' while FrogDR tracks the domain at DR 70 (VerifiedDR agrees at 70, with a 'TrueDR' of 55), and the rel attribute is theirs to change at any time.
Is MagicBox Tools free to submit to?
There's a free path, though the pricing page doesn't show it as a card. It's badge-gated: 'Verify your AI tool with our badge to submit for free', meaning you place their badge code on your site, verification is checked, and your listing waits in a 30-45 day review queue; the tier's own note reads 'Nofollow backlinks from homepage'. The paid tiers advertise 'No badge verification required' and shorter queues. If you'd rather not give their badge a permanent spot on your site for one directory, that's the trade the free tier asks.
How long does a MagicBox Tools review take?
Depends which of their own strings you believe. The Basic tier bullet says 'Reviewed in 7 days', Featured says 'Reviewed in 3 days', the free tier quotes 30-45 days, and the site's own submission toast says 'Tool submitted successfully! We'll review it within 1-3 business days.' The Terms reserve the right to reject submissions, there's no published refund-if-rejected exception, and the FAQ rules out refunds on one-time plans entirely.
Is MagicBox Tools legit?
The core product is real: a named solo operator (Corey Chiu, who signs the site's By a Human page), DR 70 independently tracked and dofollow links that actually get delivered. The theater around it is the problem: the Featured tier's '$10 off special discount for 10 spots total - 5 remaining' banner is a hardcoded string that has said '5 remaining' since at least October 2025; the '22K+ Monthly Visit', '1,200+ Registered Users' and '85% Avg Engagement Rate' stats are hardcoded strings too; the testimonials from 'John Smith', 'Sarah Johnson' and 'Mike Chen' ship inside the site's own translation bundle; the hero claims 'over 20,000 awesome AI tools' while the sitemap lists 6,009; and the Terms of Service still contain unfilled placeholders like governed by '[Your Jurisdiction]' with no legal entity named anywhere.
Does Submitator submit to MagicBox Tools?
No, Submitator doesn't submit to MagicBox Tools. The comparison is unit math: $15.9 there buys one listing in one directory. $29 here buys submissions to 30 directories you pick in the dashboard with each directory's DR on screen (the catalog runs up to DR 93), which works out to about $0.97 per directory, with dofollow links as the stated focus, badges installed and kept live where directories require them, the whole batch out in 24 to 48 hours with a live link per completed listing, rejections credited +1 and a 30-day money-back refund. Their Sponsored tier alone costs $29.9 every month ($358.80 a year); every Submitator plan is one-time.
